adidas NMD R1 OG Release Confirmed For January 14th

The adidas NMD R1 Primeknit OG is confirmed to release on January 14th at select adidas Originals retailers worldwide. It is the exact same colorway as the original – a solid black Primeknit upper accompanied by the signature red and blue NMD “bumpers”. Currently, resale value of the OG NMD is in the $800-1,200 range, but we foresee a slight decline once the re-issue happens next Saturday. Expect them at retailers such as END.

Earlier this week we got our first peek at the adidas NMD City Sock 2, the follow up to the much-hyped and sought after sock-like version of the NMD that was one of the hottest sneakers of summer 2016. Now we get and even better look at the NMD CS2, offering a better idea of what to expect on the upcoming model. As you can see, the shoe retains almost the exact same silhouette as the original City Sock, with a few key differences: the updated “plugless” Boost midsole of the NMD R2, a wrapped collar, and a unique striped design embroidered on the Primeknit upper. Rumors of an adidas YEEZY Runner have been circulating for a while now, and today the sneaker world might have just gotten a first look at the shoe?oddly enough thanks to a reported “intruder” at Kanye’s office yesterday evening. While spotted leaving the building after the apparent security breach, Yeezy was wearing the new sneakers in question, that stray quite a bit from his usual adidas YEEZY Boost models we know and love. As these look like they could actually be a future Raf Simons adidas sneaker design much like his Ozweego series, we can’t 100% confirm for sure that this is indeed an upcoming YEEZY Runner, so stay tuned for further information on the mysterious sneaker.

This adidas Tubular Radial Celebrates Chinese New Year

2017 marks as the Year of the Rooster in the Chinese Zodiac, and with Chinese New Year approaching (Jan. 28th) this latest variation of the adidas Tubular Radial is treated in a celebratory theme.

Colored in a traditional palette — black is simply prominent across its leather/neoprene upper, while it rests atop a crisp white tubular sole unit for a simplistic two-tone finish. A distinguishable element is focalized on the feathered leather heel tab, which also bears a multicolored Rooster embroidered logo to round out its respective aesthetic.

The adidas NMD City Sock 2 Debuts This Year

Following an initial look just days earlier, new imagery of the forthcoming adidas NMD City Sock 2 has surfaced online once again.

Compared to its predecessor, the sneaker essentially retains its sleek design ethos intact, although, the distinctive primeknit upper is now detailed with a stripe circular pattern overlay, in addition to its sock-like collar extending towards the midsole for easier accessibility.

Rendered in a versatile colorway of navy and white, the model is also accentuated with brown leather heel tabs for additional premium flair. Finally, a revamped boost sole unit, similar to the NMD R2, rounds out the new design.

As part of its Spring/Summer 2017 lineup, the adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged is unveiled in one of its forthcoming colorways, which flaunts a traditional palette of black and white.

With its signature primeknit upper essentially covered in the classic shades, the low-top is supplemented with a blacked-out boost midsole unit, which was first seen on the previously released triple black iteration. Other notable details include a tonal black TPU heel counter, ribbed detailing on its sock-like collar and a white rubber outsole.

Priced at $180, you can expect to find this pair at select adidas retailers sometime later this Spring 2017.

Just a quick update for those of you who are interested in either colorway of the adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 you see above. Known as the adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 Still Breeze and Tactile Blue, both colorways are said to be releasing on February 1st for $180.

Both colorways are said to be women’s exclusives. They both utilize pastel vibes, making them ideal for the upcoming Spring season. Hits of Black can be found throughout the woven upper, as well as on the heel counter and rubber outsole. The White Boost midsole complete the look. This Fan-Made adidas Commercial Might Bring You To Tears

Leave it to fans of a brand to create the most compelling marketing content.

Eugen Merher of Germany created this short minute-and-a-half film which depicts a retired runner, stuck in the confines of a retirement home, who finds motivation to “break free” after discovering his old adidas running shoes. The staff goes as far as confiscating his shoes, but it’s the fellow inhabitants of the facility, who also find hope in his efforts, that aid him in the jailbreak. Merher states that he tried sending it to adidas, but there was no response.

The video was posted on YouTube some weeks ago and is inching towards 1 million views already, but it deserves a lot more attention for its creativity and inspiring message. Check it out below.

Did The OG adidas NMD Release At Discount In Europe

The first-ever adidas NMD R1 Primeknit is set for a return on January 14th, 2017, but it appears that one store in the UK might’ve dropped them earlier – and on sale. Office and its sportswear-focused Offspring boutique has the first adidas NMD colorway on their website on sale for 100 GBP, although this could be an error on the shop’s side. Even if this is just a snafu, the black adidas NMD with red and blue “bumpers” is set to drop next Saturday, January 14th. Check out Office and Offspring to see if you’ll get lucky.

adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged Releasing In Light Grey With Hints of Color In The Primeknit

At first this looks like a simple light grey colorway for the adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged. But look a little closer and you’ll see that the grey is accented with subtle hints of colored detailing woven into the Primeknit upper. The colors are so light, in fact, that in these images we can’t even quite tell exactly what hues are present, but it appears to be orange, blue, and maybe green intertwined into the light grey. You’ll also notice that these feature a grey outsole, in place of the usual black or white for the Ultra Boost’s Continental rubber sole.
