KoF Live: adidas Pure Boost 2017 Unpacking (Video)

The original adidas Pure Boost is really the sneaker that made me a believer in Boost and in some ways, adidas itself. We can talk about how the Ultra Boost put the brand on the map again and how Kanye West did his thing and made the three stripes relevant to the hypebeasts, but it was the Pure Boost that set the table for the brand and opened it up to be accepted beyond the usual people who shop for kicks. Priced affordably and styled accordingly, the Pure Boosts were the perfect walking shoe in 2014 and has maintained that momentum ever since. While we chase down Triple White Ultra Boosts and hope to God the Confirmed app will work when trying to cop a rare NMD, the Pure Boost (and the easier to find NMDs) are the kicks that your friends and your relatives wear that don’t care about the hype but want something cheap and comfortable.

This year marks the biggest revision yet for the adidas Pure Boost with a brand-new knit upper, revised tongue construction and much more. Check out as we unpack this special package courtesy of adidas Running which includes a fancy new bag and some socks. You can see the live unpacking on Facebook Live and Instagram Stories, so don’t forget to follow us on IG and on Facebook to so you’ll always see the next time we go live with another package.

The adidas Matchcourt Slip Gets Hit With A Graphic Upper

adidas debuted the Matchcourt Slip last year as an alternative to the original Matchcourt. The sneaker is inspired by adidas? renowned heritage in tennis shoe design, yet customized to meet the performance demands of modern skateboarding.

Today we bring you one of the latest colorways to arrive at retailers that features a graphic upper. Having the appearance of stained glass all throughout the upper, a combination of black and shades of grey dominate the shoe with additional black accents on the inner liner. A white vulcanized midsole and gum rubber outsole complete the look.

You can find this new graphic colorway of the adidas Matchcourt Slip at select adidas stockists now.

BAPE And Neighborhood Join Forces On The adidas Superstar Boost

Japanese streetwear staples and all-caps connoisseurs BAPE and NEIGHBORHOOD have been dominating the collaborative front with a number of coveted offerings over the past few months. It?s only right then, that the two team up with adidas Originals and the classic Superstar silhouette for a fresh revamp sure to be one of the more sought after releases of February 2017.

The BAPE x NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Superstar isn?t just any old retro adidas offering with name brand slapped on to added effect either, but a completely retooled adidas Superstar Boost featuring a modernized upper complete with a slip-on construction, an adidas NMD-inspired heel, and a retooled midsole featuring additional Boost technology that shows through on the medial side?s midsole arch.

The knit upper looks like the three stripe?s new circular knit technology championed on the adidas Pure Boost model while a bolstered hairy suede contrasts leading into the traditional shell-toe. It?s the perfect combination of both old and new. Expect the BAPE x NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Superstar Boost to release at limited retailers on February 4th, 2017. More photos below.

Core Black Makes An Appearance On The adidas Originals ZX Flux Primeknit

In my opinion, if adidas adds a Primeknit upper to virtually any model, it automatically becomes a better sneaker. What about the ZX Flux though? What was once the Three Stripe’s poster child when it came to modern lifestyle footwear is now all but forgotten ever since more technologically advanced adidas sneakers began to release. Can adding Primeknit on the upper of the ZX Flux help bring the shoe back to relevancy? I don’t know, but adidas is going to at least try.

The latest colorway has the adidas Originals ZX Flux Primeknit done in a Black woven upper accented by the Light Grey hits placed on the 3M Three Stripes, tongue and ankle collar. Suede is found on the heel cage and a bit of Tan can be seen on the heel pull tab. Below you will find a White TORSION SYSTEM midsole and gum outsole. Priced at $130, you can now find these at select adidas retailers. There’s no doubt that the shoe looks better, but is it too little too late for the ZX Flux?

adidas Has Another Hit On Their Hands With The Flashback Primeknit

The adidas NMD series is still going strong and has inspired the three stripes to churn out a number of retro-inspired lifestyle offerings that will define the future through its classic past. The adidas Dragon was a pre-ZX running model that featured a jagged outsole unit to help runners keep pace with superior grip. While we haven’t seen a retro of that model since 2012, the Dragon has inspired the latest lifestyle Primeknit silhouette with the adidas Flashback Primeknit now available at select spots like Politics in two vibrant Spring 2017-ready women’s exclusive colorways.

The adidas Flashback Primeknit definitely has some NMD DNA in it thanks to a simple lightweight slip-on Primeknit base. The Dragon’s design heritage can be found on the EVA midsole and rubberized outsole with retro-inspired sawtooth tooling. The upper also featued bolstered TPU support on the three stripes and toebox while the heel will bring some memories of the NMD’s. Two women’s exclusive colorways are now available for $120 USD in both a Maroon/White and an Easter Green/White. Check out more detailed photos below and grab your pair today from Politics.

Is This Alexander Wangs adidas BOOST Shoe

From the depths of streetwear to the heights of high fashion, adidas is hooking up with the right people. In 2016, adidas Originals announced a collaboration with Alexander Wang via a massive runway show during NYFW last Fall. Today, we get a first look at a pair of adidas Boost sneakers that are presumed to be from Wang’s collection; this brand new silhouette makes use of a full-length Boost sole similar to the one in the Iniki Runner Boost, with an ankle cuff and an upside-down TreFoil logo on the heel. Release date information hasn’t been revealed just yet. Would you like to see Alexander Wang design his own adidas NMD or Ultra Boost?

Release Reminder: adidas EQT Support 93/17 Turbo Red

We’re less than 24 hours away from the release of the brand new adidas EQT Support 93/17. This model along with other modern EQT creations marks the beginning of the next chapter of EQT. Although there are many EQT models dropping tomorrow, this is sure to be one that garners the most attention.

The adidas EQT Support 93/17 Turbo Red comes constructed out of a Primeknit upper done in Black and Dark Grey. The Primeknit also comes with White stripes embroidered at the toes and the medial side. Adding even more comfort and modern aesthetics is the White Boost sole the upper sits on.
