Nike Kobe 4 FTB Dust

With the Nike Kobe “Fade To Black” Pack releasing soon, we begin to reminisce about all the great sneaker moments of Kobe’s career. Few stand out like the Nike Zoom Kobe IV, a sneaker that began the mainstream low-top hoops shoe revolution and provided wheels for The Black Mamba to win his fourth NBA Championship. That combination of design innovation and Kobe’s success on the court may deem the Zoom Kobe IV the most significant Kobe sneaker ever created. For the Kobe FTB Pack, Nike opts for a tonal “Dust” Grey and currently the shoes are set for a March 19th release. We’ll bring you official once Nike makes the official announcement.

The Nike Kobe 11 Easter To Feature Multi-Color Flyknit

In late March, Nike Basketball will release “Easter” styles of their signature basketball models inspired by traditional themes and color that often include pastel tones. For the Kobe 11, it appears that Nike is bringing in a multi-colored Flyknit that mimics the earliest versions as it features hits of red, purple, pink, volt, and purple. The elegant Flyknit mix is paired with leather Swooshes and soft lining that adds to the refined look, while small heel-tabs add even more unique flair. If these are in fact the Easter version, look for these to hit stores on March 26th.

Originally debuting in 1991 and designed by the great Tinker Hatfield, the Nike Air Max Classic BW utilized the same Nike Air-Sole unit as the Air Max 90 but enlarged its window. This OG colorway features a Black upper with White and Persian Violet detailing for an eye-catching look.

Look for the Nike Air Max Classic BW OG Persian Violet to launch on March 8 on nike.com and at select Nike retailers worldwide. Do you plan on picking up a pair?

Author’s Take

I appreciate the history behind this silhouette and the fact that Tinker Hatfield designed it, but I’ll just stick with the Air Max 90 instead.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro University Red

Release Date: April, 2016
Price: $230

Nike is scheduled to bring back some classic OG colorways of the Nike Air Foamposite Pro throughout the year. One of those OG colorways happens to be the Nike Air Foamposite Pro University Red. This OG colorway was originally released in 2002, back when it was known as the Varsity Red colorway. The 2016 version manages to almost mimic the look of the 2002 release with the only minor difference being that the Varsity has been converted to a University Red. The shoe will come with an upper consisting of a University Red foam shell paired up with the Black leather eyestay. Additional hits of black appear on the laces, lining and the Nike Swoosh placed on the side panels of the shoes. Another mini black Swoosh with a red outline appears on the toe and heel of the shoe to complete the aesthetics of the upper. Carbon fiber hits can be seen on both sides of the midsole. Considered to be a fan favorite, don’t expect this tonal colorway of the Foamposite Pro to last too long on the shelves.

Author’s Take

Although it is very bold looking, I’ve never been a fan of any of the Foamposite models. I am not looking forward to buying this in the Spring season, especially not for $230.

The Nike KD 8 PB&J Has A Release Date

NIKE KD 8 1 NIKE KD 8 2

Less than two weeks ago we gave you a first look at the Nike KD 8 PB&J, today we have a new picture along with the release date information of the shoe. I have good news and bad news, so let’s get down to it.

The good news is that the Nike KD 8 PB&J  is actually scheduled to release this weekend for $140. The bad news is that the PB&J colorway will only release in kid’s sizing (GS). That means that a lot of us won’t get the chance to own a pair because we won’t be able to fit in them. The PB&J theme is inspired by KD’s favorite childhood snack, the peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  The shoe comes in a white Flyweave upper with the toe being dipped in grape jelly while the peanut butter being represented by way of the gum bottom outsole. Set to drop March 5th, how many little footers are looking to pick up a pair?

via: Sole Fly

Author’s Take

I’m a bit surprised that these will only release in GS sizing, I have feeling that these would have done well in adult sizes.

A Release Date For The Nike Air Presto Safari Has Been Announced

NIKE AIR PRESTO 1 NIKE AIR PRESTO 2 NIKE AIR PRESTO 3 NIKE AIR PRESTO 4 NIKE AIR PRESTO 5 NIKE AIR PRESTO 6

Not only do we have the official images of the Nike Air Presto Safari, we also have to release date of the shoe. Covered in the beloved and iconic Safari print, the Nike Air Presto definitely has the classic look to it.

The Presto is done in a neoprene slip-on upper, and this time around the shoe is inspired by the atmos x Nike Air Max 1 Safari collaboration is it’s seen using the same print and colorway as the aforementioned release. The Safari print is placed on the majority of the upper while Kumquat and String Green accents found on the synthetic cage support syste give it the atmos x Nike Air Max 1 Safari vibe. Branding appear on the toe and the contrasting midsole, while the brown laces tie up the entire look together. Releasing March 5th for $130, is this a must cop?

via: Nike

Author’s Take

If it wasn’t for my wide feet, I’d be all over these. I love the Safari look on the shoe, making it one of my all-time favorite Prestos of all time.

It looks like Nike will continue to release Nike Air Max 1 models with the beloved mini Swoosh on the toe. Up next is this white and kumquat colorway that’s subtle yet still manages to make a statement.

The Air Max 1 is done up in a predominantly white/off-white upper made out of a leather and mesh construction. Accompanying the tonal look of the shoe is the safari print placed on the mudguard of the shoe. Adding some color to the shoe is the kumquat colored Nike branding found by way of the large Nike Swoosh on the heel and the mini Swoosh on the toe. Additional kumquat is seen on the top eyelets and insole branding as well. The shoe is finished off by sitting on top of the traditional all-white Air Max 1 sole unit. Said to already be available in Japan, we will let you know if these ever arrive stateside.

via: Nike

Author’s Take

I like the safari and mini Swoosh on the shoe, only problem I have with the shoe is that the safari is too subtle and the color on the branding is not something I usually go for.

The Nike KD Elite was unveiled yesterday and its unique two-piece system took many of us by surprise. We’ve never seen anything quite like it, and of course we were all immediately curious to see what the shoe will look like once you lace them up on your feet. Today we have the first images of the shoe on-feet.

The main new feature on the unconventional KD 8 Elite is the built-in compression sleeve that is attached to actual shoe. Designed to be technically advanced, the shoe also comed equipped with full-length visible Nike Zoom Air cushioning and Flywire technology with Kevlar aramid fiber. The shoe’s design helps “blur the lines between shoe, sock and tight; seamlessly transitioning between each so you can’t differentiate where one begins and the other ends.”

Are you looking to try this pair on for size? If so, you will be able to do pick up this colorway beginning April 14th, while additional colorways will be dropping May 5th and May 26th.

Author’s Take

It’s different, but it’s dope. I’m sure it will perform well and the overall look of the shoe is pretty nice.

The Nike LeBron 13 Pays Tribute To Rubber City With Chemistry

Nike’s upcoming LeBron 13 release for March 9th dabbles in a bit of biochemistry as it features a logo of some molecule on the heels of the shoes. It may represent C4H6, or Butadiene, which is an important chemical used in the production of synthetic rubber, and as last year’s LeBron 12 “Rubber City” attested to, Akron (LeBron’s hometown) is a city known for its rubber production. These are set for a release next Tuesday, so get a detailed look here and in the meantime, check out the latest on the LeBron 13 Low.
