Joey Votto Laces Up With A Pair Of Nike Kobe 11s

Nike Kobe 11 1 Nike Kobe 11 Nike Kobe 11 2

Yesterday, Cincinnati Reds All-Star first baseman, Joey Votto, was seen wearing an exclusive variation of the Nike Kobe 11 during batting practice in Citi Field in preparation against the New York Mets.

The sneaker isn’t enhanced with cleats to perfectly suit the game, although, the silhouette is coordinated with the Reds’ signature colors perfectly. Red and black is predominant across its engineered mesh upper, tongue, inner lining and sole unit, while shimmering gold accents are implemented on the Swoosh, tongue label and heel to finish off the theme.

Would you consider purchasing this colorway?

As part of the brand’s “J Pack” this season, which essentially takes inspiration from some of the most iconic colorways on the Air Jordan 1, the Nike Air Force 1 Low in Royal Blue is highlighted once again, this time showcasing the model in an editorial perspective.

Overall sporting a premium composition consisting of leather, the defining hue is prominent on the toe box, Swoosh branding, outsole, tongue tab and rear section, while black converges throughout the inner lining, laces, tongue, along the forefoot and portions of its side panels.

All sandwiched in between a crisp white midsole unit, the model is finished off with perforations on the toe box to enhance breathability.

Following the release of the Brave Blue aka Eric Avar colorway, the second variation of three, from the Nike Kobe 11 Muse Pack is now highlighted, this time featuring heralded designer, Tinker Hatfield.

Certain elements of Bryant’s favorite sneaker — the Air Jordan 3 — are reinterpreted in this second variation, such as its overall color blocking, perforations in the lower tongue and bold red embroidery situated on the heel and tongue. Furthermore, for a unique touch, a sharkskin-inspired heel counter is applied as a tribute to Bryant?s fearlessness and appreciation for the creature.

Look for this latest pair at select Nike accounts worldwide starting Thursday, May 5th. Stay tuned in for the remaining shoe designed by Mark Parker.

Tinker Hatfields Nike Kobe 11 Design Inspired By Kobes Favorite Air Jordan Shoe

The second leg of the Nike Kobe 11 “Muse” Pack continues with this sublime design by Tinker Hatfield, who clearly channels the spirit of Michael Jordan and the Air Jordan 3. Kobe Bryant calls the Air Jordan 3 his favorite Air Jordan shoe of all-time, so it’s a fitting application of AJ3 on the Kobe 11, which makes use of signature details like the grey leather tongue and the Nike logo on the heel. Kobe, who has been a fan of Air Jordans since childhood, notes Tinker’s simplicity and ability to listen to the athlete as the keys to his design achievements. Furthermore, Kobe compares himself to Michael Jordan in that their drives for success were different despite achieving the same outcomes.

The Nike Kobe 11 “Tinker Hatfield” releases next Thursday, May 5th, at select Nike Basketball retailers around the globe. Get a look at the official images as well as an insightful video with Tinker below.

The latest edition of the Nike Air Max 1 this year will pay tribute to its origins.

Flaunting a classic colorway overall, white consists as its dominant tone across its leather overlays and sole unit, while beige and grey accents are evidenced on the mesh/suede toe box, collar, inner lining and tongue.

Additionally, touches of black evident with the Swooshes, tongue branding and the defining theme on the heels pronounce the design even more. 1987 is the year the silhouette was originally released.

A release date for this particular pair has yet to be announced but stay tuned in to KicksOnFire for further updates.

Nike Air Force 1 Low Royal

It’s hard to believe that the Nike Air Force 1 Low and Air Jordan 1 were only a few years apart, each shoe creating a dynamic change to basketball footwear history. The Nike Air Force 1‘s staying power as an iconic lifestyle selection is a testament to the simplicity of the design and Nike Sportswear’s ability to continue to push enticing colorway offerings like this summer’s upcoming J-Pack featuring translations of the AJ1’s most sought after OG looks. The “Royal” pair accomplishes this feat thanks to a combination of Star Blue leather panels and a black base for a nod at Nike’s early basketball progression. Be sure to check out more on-feet looks below and let us know if you plan on picking up a pair when these drop later in May 2016.

I’m not a fan of the Air Pegasus 92 but the Olympic colorway makes the shoe look good. My favorite detail is the touch of gold on the heel counter that gives the sneaker a nice pop.
