Okay, so today was bananas. I’ve been to dozens upon dozens of Nike media events since 2009 and this one ranks as one of the best ever. See, with Nike, they never, ever let a detail go by unnoticed. I don’t know how they do it. One time, they made me a pair of KD 6s on NIKEiD based off my Instagram profile picture. Who does that? Seriously? That said, being a Nike media event veteran, i’ve seen firsthand all the great lengths the brand goes through to educate us on what’s to come, and what went down today was undoubtedly the BEST EVER. The Nike Innovation For Everybody summit in New York City featured media from all around the world, and despite the huge guest-list, there was a true sense of individuality in that the brand communicated its goal of connecting with athletes* all around the world using the most advanced athletic products out there. I’d like to share some of what I saw today, so enjoy.

Even though you can’t see the insoles, I like how it was colored in Red. Aside from that, the shoe itself is pretty versatile and perfect for everyday wear.

Next up to release from the new Nike Air Max City Collection will be the Nike Air Max 90 Ultra Shanghai.

This bold and vibrant colorway of the Air Max 90 Ultra is inspired by ancient Chinese architecture and textiles and features a bright pattern dedicated to the vibrant city of Shanghai throughout the upper. Serving as a contrast to the red upper is a white midsole with translucent burgundy hits around the Air Max bubble and by the toe. Another detail of this colorway is the “HAI” lace dubraes that stand for Shanghai.

Releasing tomorrow, March 17th, who plans on picking up the Nike Air Max 90 Ultra Shanghai? Retail price is set at $150.

The Nike SB Dunk Low Premium Hemp is looking to celebrate 4/20 and they’re getting dressed for the occasion. Nike SB wraps the entire sneaker’s upper in a hemp construction done up in a textured beige colorway. Offsetting the tonal upper are the black and dark grey hits placed on the laces, tongue, lining, heel tab, outsole and Nike Swoosh. A little bit of woven detailing is placed on the ankle collar of the shoe, while the green and orange hits on the tongue and heel branding of the shoe add some nice pop to the shoe. No confirmed release date yet, but early rumors are saying that the shoe will drop on 4/20. Figures.

A new Nike Air Huarache Run just dropped and we’re here to show you some clean images of the shoe to help you decide if this pair is for you. Looking for a white sneaker with some pop to it? If so, this is the one for you.

The shoe starts off with a white base constructed out of a leather and mesh material. Contrasting the tonal look of the base is the is the Action Green placed on the neoprene bootie. Day One of Nike’s Innovation For Everybody summit is in the books, and among the many storylines to have emerged from this day-long showcase of the future of Nike, the HyperAdapt 1.0 sneaker stands out as the most significant. The HyperAdapt 1.0 was a collaborative effort between Tinker Hatfield and Senior Innovator Tiffany Beers, who is credited from bringing in the wearable self-lacing shoe to life. The shoes have hands-free power-lacing capabilities thanks to sensors at the heel (it automatically tightens once your foot is in), and the lockdown can be adjusted to personal preference using the buttons on the upper. The shoes also feature “E.A.R.L.” on the left shoe, which is an acronym for Electro Adaptive Reactive Lacing, the technology that makes the HyperAdapt 1.0 possible. Releasing as a part of the 2016 Spring/Summer Collection of the Nike Air Max 2016 is this new white and back colorway of Nike’s newest Air Max flagship silhouette.

Seen in a variety of different colorways already, the Nike Air Max 2016 comes equipped with a full engineered mesh upper and Flywire cables running down the side panels to provide lock-down support. This colorway that was created exclusively for the ladies comes with a white/grey mesh upper and black detailing on the branding, inner liner, midsole, laces and Flywire. Down below we have a translucent full-length Max Air unit and an icy blue outsole.

I don’t care if this is a women’s colorway or not, it’s one of the best pairs of Air Max 2016s. It could have looked a little better id the upper was an actual grey instead of a dirty white. Nonetheless it’s a fresh pick up for any women looking for a fresh pair of runners.

I know we’re all shoe heads, but what about box heads? You know, the one’s who love the box as much as the shoes inside of it. If you fall into that category, check out the packaging of the upcoming Nike KD 8 Elite.

The large white box seen above is said to be the packaging of the KD8 Elite. The size of the box is sufficient enough to house the large build of the shoe. The other new images of the shoe show that there is a “big chucky” text on the sole of the shoe that sits under the all-white colorway of the shoe. The Nike Air Max line began back in 1987 with the creation and debut of the Nike Air Max 1. Now almost 30 years later continues to create new Air Max silhouettes with their newest creation being the Nike Air VaporMax that provides lightweight, consistent cushioning that lasts.

Here is how Nike explains the fruition of the Air VaporMax.

“The breakthrough came courtesy of new technologies that allow the Nike VaporMax Air unit to act as a standalone outsole. Where previous Air units had to be insulated by a secondary rubber layer for protection and improved durability, new innovation allows designers to incorporate the Air and exterior layer into one holistic VaporMax Air unit. And where previous units needed to be shaped with inflexible structural areas, the new unit can independently maintain its given form, with elasticity.

The former innovation allows additional Air to be integrated into the unit while the latter allows for more extreme Air geometries that enable designers to place even more Air directly underfoot. Together, these capabilities wholly eliminate the need for a traditional foam midsole.

By shedding the weight and bulk of a foam layer, the new midsole achieves greater flexibility and spring without compromising structure, while also reducing weight and waste. And by placing the upper directly on the VaporMax Air unit, a pillowy sensation and greater energy response are produced.”

Back in September we got our first look at the Nike Big Swoosh. This new silhouette from Nike features a one piece mesh upper and a larger than life Swoosh by the ankle.

For those of you that liked the shoe when you first saw it you’ll be happy to know that it is now available at select retailers. Up above we see the Nike Big Swoosh in a new black and white colorway. Black dominates the upper including the mesh paneling, midsole, inner liner, and outsole while contrasting hits of white cover the Nike branding on the upper and parts of the Air Max2 CB 94 sole unit.

If anyone is interested in picking up a pair you may be able to find them at your local Nike retailers now for $120.

When you see, think about or put on the new Nike Mercurial Superfly, Nike wants you to think one thing: speed. Every component of this new soccer cleat was created to work in concert towards the singular goal of unleashing a player?s full speed potential.

As Nike puts is, the goal of this cleat was to unleash a player?s full speed potential. One of the first big changes that Nike made to the Mercurial Superfly was with the sole. Previously they had been working with a flat sole plate, but the human foot is not flat. The new anatomical Nike plate maps the natural contours of the foot, eliminating the gap that previously existed underfoot. By cradling the foot, it enables the foot to move with the boot instead of against it. The new Mercurial soleplate is also 40% lighter than the carbon fiber plate it replaces, yet it is stronger and more responsive.

Are you a fan of HTM Nike releases? Do you like the styles and creative minds of Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker? If so, you’re about to like what I’m about to say. With Air Max Day being only 10 days away, one way Nike plans on celebrating the legacy of Air Max is by giving you the opportunity to design Air Max sneakers on NIKEiD using traits and features were used to seeing used by HTM.

In a press release, Nike said:

Through Nike?s personalization service, NIKEiD, consumers can participate in the artistic process alongside the famed trio via exclusive material and color choices. The exclusive color palettes and materials, informed by the respective designers, explore the stories that have inspired the collective for the past 14 years.

In other words, that means that through NIKEiD, you will be able to create your very own versions of the Nike Air Max 1 with colors and features selected by Hatfield. You can create you personalized pair of the Nike Air Max 95 with a color palette chosen by Fujiwara or you can NIKEiD an Air Max 2014 seected by Parker.

We are unsure as to how long this option will last, but if I were you and would like to create a pair I’d get on it ASAP! Th Air Max 1 will retail for $160. The Air Max 95 for $210 and the Nike Air Max 2014 for $265.
