Nike Releases The Bruin In Original Form In New Colorways

Remember how the super limited “Marty McFly” edition of the Nike Bruin celebrating Back to the Future Day disappeared faster than the DeLorean after it hits 88 miles per hour? Well, if you missed out and actually wanted the shoe for reasons other than the hype, this next release of the Bruin should be a pretty nice consolation prize. The shoe appears once again in its construction accurate to early 1980’s-era Bruins, with a leather upper and cup sole. This colorway features a white leather base with Photo Blue accents for a classic color block. The Nike Bruin QS will arrive at select global Nike Sportswear retailers on March 26th.

Nike Kobe Black Mamba Pack: The Flyknit Era

It’s safe to say that Flyknit transformed Kobe Bryant’s signature line more than any other technology. The woven material was first introduced atop the Nike Kobe 9 Elite and trickled down until it became the standard construction in this year’s Nike Kobe 11. The Back Mamba only has a few weeks of his professional career left before calling it quits, so it’s the perfect time for Nike Basketball to introduce their upcoming “Black Mamba” Pack that focuses on “The Flyknit Era”. Ominous monochromatic offerings ranging from an all Anthracite, Dark Obsidian, and Black/Metallic Gold improve the three Flyknit silhouettes for a premium affair. The Kobe 10 Elite Low and Kobe 11 do feature some subtle pops like a semi-translucent outsole unit on the 10, and a luxurious leather Swoosh selection on the 11. Each pair will hit retailers on April 11th for $200. Check out more photos below and let us know if you’re a fan of the trio by taking your thoughts to the comments section.

As part of Nike Golf’s continuing efforts to make the game more appealing to a younger audience, they have unveiled their Enemies Of The Course Pack, which pays homage to the many obstacles that groundskeepers have to deal with on a daily basis.

The Enemies Of The Course print, which features all kinds of flora and fauna like clovers and snakes and more, that you will find on this apparel collection was created by artist Michelle Morin. The result is a camouflage-like finish that reveals so much detail when observed up close.

Featured in the Pack are items ready for both on the course and after the round including a raglan polo, fleece cardigan, coach?s jacket (which is you can find here and is the most beautifulest thing in the world), AW84 cap, bucket hat, selvedge pant and more. The featured shoe in the pack is the Nike Flyknit Chukka Golf, which is way better than I ever expected it to be after putting them to use at the Riviera and on the driving range recently.

The Enemies Of The Course Pack is available now at Nike.com.

Nike Kobe Black Mamba Pack: Continuing The Low-Cut Era

Eric Avar’s Nike Zoom Kobe IV undeniably ushered in the mainstream low-cut basketball shoe era. It’s far from being the first ever to do it, but the Kobe signature line made it look good. Coming off his second straight NBA Championship and fifth overall, Kobe was thinking about nothing else but a threepeat, and the Kobe VI was going to take him there. The Black Mamba would never reach the Finals again, but over the course of the next three years, Nike outfitted him with three low-cut models pumped with technology and design, like the snakeskin-like TPU shell on the VI, the modular System on the VII, and Engineered Mesh on the 8. These three installments of the Kobe Black Mamba Pack don’t arrive until April, so get a detailed look below.

According To Dell Curry, Nikes Last Contract Negotiation With Steph Went Epically Bad

Nike is all about winning. It puts out the best product year after year and last week’s Innovation For Everybody showcase proved that the brand is still pumping out some of the best athletic gear out there. More importantly it was a statement saying loudly that it recognizes the growing competition, and a word like complacency is simply not in its vocabulary. Speaking of competition, the sole reason why Under Armour is in the conversation is Steph Curry. In late 2013, Curry left Nike for Under Armour, and it’s widely accepted that the reason for his departure was that Under Armour just made a far more lucrative offer and that Nike didn’t really see Curry’s potential as a pitch-man. Steph went on to have an MVP and Championship season, and somehow he topped that 2014-2015 campaign with an even better year. Couldn’t have written it any better for Under Armour and vice versa for Nike, but new details regarding Nike’s last-ditch pitch to Steph near the end of 2013 makes their decision to let him walk appear laughable.

Nike Kobe Black Mamba Pack: Olympic Gold And Back-To-Back Rings

Today we continue our exploration of the Nike Kobe Black Mamba Pack with the Hyperdunk ’08, the Zoom Kobe IV, and the Zoom Kobe V. These three sneakers mark Kobe Bryant’s most successful run as a Nike athlete, when he put on one of the most clutch performances in basketball history at the Gold Medal game at the Beijing Olympics and went on to win back-to-back NBA Championships. This also marks the start of the Flywire era for Nike as a whole; the Hyperdunk ’08 placed the innovation front and center with the lightweight transparent upper, and it later paved the way for the Zoom Kobe IV – widely considered to be among the best Nike Kobe signature shoes ever. Stay tuned as we explore more of the sub-plots behind the Kobe Black Mamba Pack.

The newly-introduced Nike Air Huarache Ultra continues to receive a number of colorways as we progress throughout the year, and with warm weather on the horizon, an all-white rendition of the silhouette is now offered.

Essentially a modernized take of the classic Tinker Hatfield design, this model is defined by its revamped breathable mesh upper that provides perfect ventilation during those arid summer days. Further detailed with a refined iteration of the silhouette?s distinctive heel cage system and tonal leather overlays, the model features a sock-like collar to enable a perfect and comfortable fit.

All resting atop a matching sole unit, other notable details include bigger branding on the elastic heel which provides additional allowance when worn. Also, the sneaker’s respective logo is situated on its tongue. Furthermore, the model is finished off with tonal laces and pull tabs on the tongue and heel section.

While the exterior is dipped in the heavenly tone, the only contrasting element is provided by its insoles which are shaded in red, and can also be seen on the outsole when flipped. Retailing for $130, you can find this pair at select Nike stores nationwide now.

Author’s Take

I’ve been a fan since the introduction of this silhouette. In this colorway, it’ll definitely garner a lot of attention. The only downside is maintaining it clean.

A Touch Of Silver For The Nike KD 8 Easter

Nike KD 8 1 Nike KD 8 Nike KD 8 2 Nike KD 8 3 Nike KD 8 4 Nike KD 8 5

Unlike the upcoming Nike Kyrie 2, this Nike KD 8 Easter edition strays from pastel tones which are typically synonymous with the forthcoming holiday on Sunday, March 27th.

Sporting a traditional look instead, the upper weave construction flaunts a primarily wolf grey tone, which also flows throughout the midsole and rear. Hits of white are applied on the tongue, laces, inner lining and lower portion of the midsole unit, while a classic gum outsole caps off the composition, as well as providing a complementing contrast.

Rounded out with tonal grey embroidered Swooshes and branding on the tongue label, you can find this latest pair at select Nike accounts this Friday, March 25th for $180.

Author’s Take

I do like the silhouette in general and this colorway makes the pair pretty versatile. It would’ve been nice to see more of a holiday theme, but this palette is appealing overall.
