I?ve never been a fan of any Foamposites but this University Red option isn?t that bad. I just can?t see myself spending more than $200 on a shoe that I ?sort of? like.

Author’s Take

The popularity of this silhouette is a given. I’m pretty biased towards this particular colorway and it’s definitely another solid offering. If you want some attention on your feet, this should do it.

Releasing Later This Summer Is The Nike Air Max 1 Flyknit Ultra

NIKE AIR MAX 1 ULTRA FLYKNIT 2 NIKE AIR MAX 1 ULTRA FLYKNIT 1

Just like the Air Force 1 received the Flyknit Ultra treatment earlier this year, Nike will be doing the same exact thing with the Nike Air Max 1.

The Nike Air Max 1, considered by many the best Air Max silhouette of all, will be stripped down even further and made even lighter thanks to a Flyknit upper and Ultra midsole/outsole. The Nike Air Max 1 Flyknit Ultra does not yet have a release date but up above we can see what the shoe will look like as the new upper will be composed of a combination of Flyknit and textile with Flywire for added support. The outsole will also be modified to make the shoe lighter and more comfortable.

No exact release date is know yet but the Nike Air Max 1 Flyknit Ultra is expected to release some time this Summer. Are you liking the new look?

Author’s Take

These are not the best images for me to give a good opinion on the shoe, but I can’t say that I’m too excited about them so far. I I’d like to see better pictures.

Another Nike ACG model is making a return this year as Nike plans on bringing back the Nike Air Lava Dome. What you see above are a plethora of colorways set to drop this upcoming Summer and Fall season. Just like the OG pair, this retro version appears to come true to form. The shoe’s upper comes with a suede base complimented by the suede overlays placed all over the shoe. Hits of leather can be spotted throughout the shoe to give it just the right amount of style and grace. Were you fan of the Nike Air Lava Dome back in the day? If so, which colorway are you looking to pick up? Check out all the pairs set to drop and let us know if you plan on scooping up a pair or two.

Nice to see this ACG classic make a return. I may not be a fan or connected to the shoe in any way, but you can’t deny that the shoe is a classic.

The Nike Air Max 90 Woven Vachetta Tan Is On The Way

Nike has a good thing going on with the use of Vachetta Tan on their sneakers. It seems like every time they utilize the hue on any model it automatically looks and feels better. Up next is the Nike Air Max 90 Woven. Initially previewed back in February along with two other colorways, today we get another look at the Nike Air Max 90 Woven Vachetta Tan.

The woven version of the Air Max 90 comes with an all Vachetta Tan leather upper. Woven construction is placed all around the mudguard region/heel area to give the shoe a look of its own. Embossed/Debossed Nike branding can be found on the side panels, heel tab and tongue of the shoe. Adding some contrast to the shoe is the all-white sole unit seen below. No word yet on when these will arrive stateside, but they have already been spotted in some stores overseas, which means a stateside release is imminent.

Author’s Take

Still on the fence when it comes to how I feel about the model. One thing is for sure though, I love the use of Vachetta Tan, so if I were to pick up any pair, these would be it.

The colorful tie-dye print does catch your attention, but I’m just not a fan of it. I would have preferred just one or two colors on the shoe instead.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low J Pack Bred Is Up Next

The Shadow colorway recently dropped, so did the Royal Blue pair. Now all that’s left is the Bred iteration. Although it’s still not yet available stateside, today we take a look at the official images of the Nike Air Force 1 Low J Pack Bred.

Paying homage to classic Air Jordan 1 colorways, Nike decided to release the Air Force 1 Low J Pack. The Air Force 1 Lows are dressed and color-blocked exactly as the Jordan 1 colorways. This particular pair rocks the Bred motif, where the upper is done in red and black fashion. The Jordan 1 theme extends to the sole as a white midsole and red outsole sit below the base. No word yet on when these will drop, but being that the other two colorways already dropped, it should only be a matter of time.

Author’s Take

It’s cool, but if I had a choice I’d just pick up the Air Jordan 1 Low models. If you like the mold of the Air Force 1 Low better, these are for you.

The Nike Air More Uptempo White/Gum Is Releasing In The Summer

Not only did Nike decide to bring back the Nike Air More Uptempo, it’s also releasing brand new colorways we’ve never seen on the shoe before. One of those new colorways set to release this year is the clean white/gum colorway you see above.

Simple in colorway, the Air More Uptempo comes in a white leather upper. The leather has perforation hits on the side panels. The branding, which included the large “AIR’ on the sides also comes in white. Contrasting the upper and giving the model a classic touch is the gum bottom outsole that is seen creeping up from the sides. No word yet on the exact release date but expect these to drop sometime thus summer with the retail price of $180.

Author’s Take

I really like this new colorway on the model. You can never go wrong with a white and gum look, and this pair is no different. It may not be my style but that doesn’t mean it’s not clean.

In addition to the Air Jordan 9 Low Black / White, the popular Nike Air Foamposite Pro in University Red will also make its arrival at retailers this weekend.

Nike Will Continue The Kobe Line After He Retires

Will Nike continue to create and release Nike Kobe sneakers even after Kobe Bryant retires? I know that’s one big question that lots of you have been asking yourselves, because we have too. Today Nike PR Director Heidi Burgett put those questions to rest as she took to her Twitter to give us some much appreciated information.

So there you have it. Kobe will continue to work with Nike even after his retirement as a “collaborator, innovator, and cultural icon.” According to Heidi we’ll be seeing new Kobes (presumably Kobe 12, 13, 14, etc.), retros, and remastered classics with modern upgrades.

Are you excited to hear that the Nike Kobe line will continue even after the Black Mamba calls is quits?
