Author’s Take

I like the gold accents and the gum outsole, but that upper is just a little too light for my liking. These would be tough to keep clean.

The Nike Kobe 11 Summer Pack Will Release Next Month

While Kobe Bryant was making his rounds in Europe last week he was spotted wearing a brand new colorway of the Nike Kobe 11 that is expected to release next month.

Known as the Nike Kobe 11 Summer Pack, this colorway of Kobe’s latest signature shoe features a White mesh upper with Washed Teal accents on the Swoosh branding and the inner liner. Bright Crimson can then be seen on the eyelets and the branding on the tongue. Capping things off is a gum outsole.

Look for the Kobe 11 Summer Pack to release on August 31, 2016 for $160. Will you cop or drop?

Author’s Take

Pretty clean and subtle colorway for the Summer. However, I think the shoe would have looked even better with a Flyknit upper. That gum outsole is a real nice touch too.

Our First Look At The Brand New Nike LeBron Zoom Witness Model

No, it’s not the Nike LeBron 14. What you see above is a brand new Nike LeBron model that will go by the name of the Nike LeBron Zoom Witness. This is set to be the latest sneaker model set to be a part of the Nike LeBron line.

This first look of the shoe shows that this is a simplified sneaker, in other words, it doesn’t appear to use many of the tech we’re used to seeing on the LeBron signature sneakers. The most notable feature is how the rear portion of the White midsole expands all the way to the ankle region of the shoe. The provided image makes it hard to tell what material is used to construct the shoe, but keep it locked as more info on the shoe is sure to release in the near future? Initial thoughts? Let us know in the comments below.

Author’s Take

My initial thoughts is that I don’t really like it. The midsole build /Nike Swoosh placement kind of reminds me of a Kyrie 2 knockoff, haha.

This Nike Roshe By Pedro Laurenco Is Heat-Sensitive

After creating his own Nike Air Rift and Air Max 90, Brazilian designer Pedro Lourenco is now teaming up with NikeLab once again for one of the most unique versions of the Roshe yet. The modern classic casual silhouette has seen no shortage of makeovers since its debut in 2013, but this is definitely one of the most intriguing yet thanks to the juxtaposition of white patent leather for the quarter panels with heat sensitive material that changes from black to white across the rest of the upper. Unfortunately for the guys, this Roshe will be sold in women’s sizing only. For all those that can fit a pair, the Pedro Lourenco x NikeLab Roshe NM is available beginning today at select global retailers.

Clash Of The Kicks Multicolor Edition: Nike Flyknit Racer vs. adidas Ultra Boost

Multicolor kicks are not a brand new concept. We’ve been seeing sneakers that look like something out of a fever dream since the 90s, but they always felt like they were ahead of their time. It wasn’t until Nike introduced the concept in the Flyknit Racer where everything changed. Using patterns and colors that were simply not possible (or just wouldn’t look good) on a regular leather or sythentics-based shoe, the Flyknit material allowed for each shoe to look wholly unique; no two pairs were exactly alike. The 2013 debut iteration of the Multicolor Nike Flyknit Racer was an instant classic and has spawned a pair of sequels since that sneakerheads have thirsted over.

Meanwhile, over at the three stripes, adidas has only recently started to break out of their monochromatic shell when it comes to Ultra Boost colorways. Not that they’ve had a reason to go multicolor, however, because everybody loves the utilitarian look of Ultra Boosts and the versatility of their colorways. But for those who see Primeknit as counter programming to Nike’s Flyknit, we knew then adidas pulled that ace out of their sleeve it would be huge. But they’ve been very conservative in breaking out the Multicolor look, not completely engulfing the shoe in a total kaleidoscopic mess, but rather in bunches.

Two brands. Two totally different approaches to one very popular style. So who takes the crown? Let’s find out in this Multicolor edition of Clash of the Kicks.

Nike To Release Kobe 11 Shoes Inspired By Milan

Kobe Bryant’s recent trip to Europe reflects the premium taste that the Black Mamba has. To commemorate this awesome trip to the country he once called home, Nike is dropping a Kobe 11 inspired by the Italian flag. You’ll see hints of green and red atop a white upper, with a solid gum sole adding to that lifestyle effect. Get another on-foot shot ahead and expect these on August 31st.

The Nike Air Max Zero Is Releasing In Black/White

Tinker Hatfield’s Nike Air Max Zero finally came to fruition after a multi-decade run of being just an early sketch during visible air’s earliest days. Nike Sportswear then brilliantly created the model with some modern amenities to help celebrate the freshly minted Air Max Day, but since then we’ve seen the release slate taper off for the Air Max Zero. While NIKEiD customization is available, the AM0’s release slate is still random at best, with release dates hard to pin down. Today we have some good news though, as a simple Black and White colorway will be heading to store shelves in the near future. The minimalist selection highlights the simplicity of the design with an all black mesh and fuse upper contrasted by a smooth white midsole unit. The only other white found on the pair is Tinker Hatfield’s signature on the tongue. Check out more detailed photos below and we’ll keep you updated on a release date regarding this pair in the coming weeks here on Sneaker News.
