Our First Look At The Nike KD 9 Home 2

Nike KD 9 Home II 1 Nike KD 9 Home II 2 Nike KD 9 Home II 3 Nike KD 9 Home II 4

Kevin Durant already dropped a Nike KD 9 Home, but this is not that shoe, this is the Nike KD 9 Home 2. a new colorway with some similar features. Donning a two-toned look, this Home version of the Nike KD 9 is done in a Flyknit upper with White thread on the forefoot and Blue mesh on the lateral part of the shoe. Additional hits of White can be seen on the laces, Nike Swoosh and the KD branding on the heel. Below you will find a White sole unit with visible Zoom cushioning. Being that it’s a Home colorway, a little bit of Yellow would have been nice, right? Regardless, the shoe is slated for a February 16th release for $150. Cop?

Author’s Take

I like the split-colored look on the shoe, I don’t seem much of a “Home” feel to it, but it’s still a solid colorway on the KD 9.

Two Bright Colorways Of The Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 Are On The Way

Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 2 Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 1

Two bright colorways of the Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 will be releasing later this month, with both pairs being designed exclusively for the ladies.

Both opting for suede uppers, this first pair comes draped in Gold Dart while the other goes with more of a Christmas look as it’s done in Stadium Green. Additional splashes of color get added to both pairs on the mudguard as well as white sole units.

Expect both of these colorways to arrive at Nike Sportswear retailers later this month. Which one do you like better ladies?

Author’s Take

If I were to ever pick up a pair of Air Tech Challenge 2s it would be something not as bright as these pairs. I’ll leave these for the hardcore fans of the sneaker.

Author’s Take

Reminds me a lot of the Kyrie 1. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not. I don’t think people would want to buy a shoe that looks very similar to another one that recently released.

Solid colorway of the KD 9. Love the burgundy upper, but could have done without the crimson accents.

The Nike Air Foamposite Pro Silver Surfer Drops Next Year

The classic Dr. Doom pair recently released and this upcoming variation of the Nike Air Foamposite Pro continues the Fantastic Four theme next year with a Metallic Silver ? ?Silver Surfer?-inspired finish.

The basketball sneaker?s defining shimmering hue essentially covers its rugged profile, which also bears a carbon fiber print throughout for a more distinctive look.

Contrasting black accents adorning the tongue, eye stays and inner lining further pronounce the design, as more shiny elements are evidenced with the Swoosh logos adorning each side panel. Finally, a translucent outsole finishes off the overall makeup.

Pried at $250, you can purchase this standout model at select Nike retailers starting March 2017.

Nike Presents The Art Of SNKRS AF1

nike nike 2

Organically elevating the Air Force 1s innovative look and deep-rooted heritage, Amsterdam-based photographer and director Joost van Brug first created his signature, symmetrical sneaker images thanks to an interest in his brother?s passion for sneakers and their iconic colorways.

?I wanted to shoot something new with sneakers, and my brother is obsessed with Nikes. To me, his collection is just the same shoe in different colors and a big color palette. I just pick shoes based on the color I like, but he told me the stories behind the colorways in his collection.?

An interest in his brother?s favorites sneakers, and in sneaker culture at large, pushed Joost to explore new methods of capturing their essence. In an effort to create a nonrepresentational image of something as recognizable as an iconic sneaker, Joost ultimately developed a motion blur technique, which captures the colors of iconic kicks as they rotate around an axis point.

?For me, seeing my brother?s collection was just seeing a color change in the same shoe. I thought, ?What if I just get rid of all the information of a shoe, so you don?t even recognize it as one? If you just have the colors, do you still know what shoe it is?? That?s how I came up with the abstract motion blur.?

His new abstract technique highlights the iconic colors of Nike?s most eye-catching sneakers, while also giving each shoe a more nuanced, visceral identity.

The Comme des Gar?ons x Nike Air Force 1 Low Emoji Will Also Come In Black

Comme des Garçons x Nike Air Force 1 Low 1 Comme des Garçons x Nike Air Force 1 Low 2

We recently gave you an initial look at the Comme des Garçons x Nike Air Force 1 Low Emoji which happened to come in an all-White colorway. We now got word that this collaborative effort also comes with a Black pair as well. We’re now here to provide you with a first look of the Black pair as well.

The EMOJI initiative from Comme des Garçons is one of their offerings for the holiday 2016 season. One of their launches included this collaborative effort on the classic Nike Air Force 1 Low. As of right now, both Black and White pairs are available from COMME des GARCONS Pocket stores and Dover Street Market, which leads us to believe that they are in fact collaborations, but nothing has been officially confirmed yet. Although most of the classic aesthetics of the AF1 remain intact, the focal point is noted the mid-foot, which comes with CDG?s signature heart and eyes logo pinned onto the leather upper. You like? If so, you can officially buy them from CdG stores.

Nah, man. If this is really collab, it’s not very creative, at all.

Another iteration of the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low has surfaced online, and unlike the previously featured pair, this rendition flaunts a blacked-out composition that is punctuated by silver Swooshes and distinctive Off-White branding located on the inner lateral section, as well as the “AIR” text along the midsole and “SHOELACE” hits on the laces.

While it’s unclear if this iteration is an actual collaboration, the silhouette has been seen at Art Basel in Miami, and worn by staff at the brand’s pop-up shop.

Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for further updates.
