A Better Look At The Nike Lunarcharge Infrared

Just yesterday we gave you a first look at new Nike Lunarcharge colorways said to be inspired by OG Air Max color schemes. Today we get a closer look at one of those models that we’ll just call the Nike Lunarcharge Infrared.

The Nike Lunarcharge Infrared comes dressed in a similar color scheme as the iconic Air Max 90 Infrared. This version of the model comes constructed out of neoprene, mesh and synthetic overlays. The base is done in White, while the Black, Grey and Infrared accents bring the shoe to fruition. Below you will find a Lunarlon sole in all-White to add a clean and comfort aspect to the model. Are you looking forward to seeing these drop in the states? Stay tuned to find out when these drop stateside.

Why Nike Basketball Wont Have All-Star Shoes This Year

A huge void is to be expected for the upcoming NBA All-Star Game. Nike has confirmed that no All-Star themed footwear has been prepared for the festivities, ending a long-standing tradition of sneaker releases that were at on point at the most sought-after items on the market. It’s only been three years since Nike’s “NOLA Gumbo League” born from New Orleans flavor was released, and the change of venue removing the game from Charlotte may have played a role, but the larger picture is that Nike Basketball’s signature shoes aren’t in demand like they used to be. But how Nike Basketball’s All-Star kicks and the category in general fell off so quickly can easily be identified. Does that mean the formula for a comeback is as obvious?

First Look At The Nike Bonafide

Nike Sportswear designer Ben Kirschner (of SF-AF1 fame) has another classic Basketball remix waiting in the wings. Called the Nike Bonafide, this new creation blends the Zoom Flight 95 midsole with a new Flyknit upper, a zipper on the heel, and the same “sock” construction seen on other Sportswear models like the Lunar Magista Flyknit. Rumored to drop around All-Star Weekend, the Nike Bonafide also suggests that the Zoom Flight 95 is bound to re-release in its original form as well. More updates to come.

Are These ACRONYM x Nike Air Force 1 Downtown Samples Finally Releasing

ACRONYM is known for their head-turning collaborations with Nike Sportswear. Not only have they redefined the Nike Lunar Force 1 in the past, but their take on the Nike Presto was one of last year’s most coveted creations from NSW, and for good reason. But could an oft-forgotten sample from the imprint be coming back based on the success of another lifestyle must-have from the Swoosh in the Nike SF-AF1? All signs are pointing to yes, as ACRONYM’s own Errolson Hugh posted three sketches of the coming ACRONYM Nike Air Force 1 Downtown on his Instagram today, hinting at a coming release.

Samples of the ACRONYM Nike Air Force 1 Downtown have been floating around for over a year now, and while the silhouette is definitely head-turning in its own right, perhaps it needed some momentum from the recently released Nike SF-AF1 to truly get Nike Sportswear behind the design and release the model at retail. The Nike Air Force 1 Downtown has been primarily a women’s silhouette in the past, but ACRONYM adds even more premium details, an updated mid-top strap with a strange buckle contraption, medial side zippers, and unique contrast stitching on the Swoosh side panel branding. We have more detailed shots of past samples that look almost identical to Errolson’s recent sketches, so check them out below.

If you can’t wait for a release announcement regarding the coming ACRONYM Nike Air Force 1 Downtown, know that you can find sample pairs on eBay today.

The ACRONYM x Nike Air Force 1 Is Coming Soon

As a follow up to last year’s standout ACRONYM x Nike Air Presto Mid, the fashion imprint helmed by Errolson Hugh, has reportedly worked with the Swoosh once again to reinterpret the iconic Air Force 1.

With the silhouette celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, the model is suggested to be offered in a plethora of variations. This particular iteration, however, is reminiscent of the recently released Nike SF-AF1 with its boot-like aesthetic and utilitarian vibes. Notable detailing includes ACRONYM branding, zippering system and a distinctive buckled ankle strap.

Previewed in three colorways, a release date for the style has not been announced yet.

Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for further updates.

Iced Jade Highlights The New Nike Air Icarus Extra

While the classic Nike Air Icarus returned in a few colorways last year, its modernized update with this Nike Air Icarus Extra, has just released in an iced jade/racer blue colorway.

Essentially similar to its original counterpart, this variation bears a more premium construction with a mixture of suede, leather and textile across its entire profile. Iced jade dominates its majority, while contrasting black accents are scattered throughout.

Pops of racer blue are implemented on the Swooshes, inner lining, branding on the rear and portion of the outsole for more vibrancy, as a crisp white midsole unit finishes off the bold profile.

Noted as a quickstrike offering, you can find this stand out pair at select Nike retailers overseas now.

The Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 2 Is Officially Introduced

While we showcased a preview of its forthcoming inaugural colorways last month, the new Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 2 is finally introduced to the public, as it’s highlighted in three distinctive colorways.

Compared to its predecessor, the model flaunts a raised silhouette comprised of a plush collar design and seamless Nike Flyknit bootie. The sneaker essentially maintains its soft and smooth ride of the original, thanks to a laser-siped Lunarlon midsole and pressure mapped outsole.

Each retailing for $160, additional colorways will be available for purchase as well when it drops at select Nike stockists in North America starting tomorrow, February 2, while more retailers will have the style by February 16th.
