Another Look At The Nike KD 9 Elite

First seen on the feet of Kevin Durant earlier this month, we now get another look at the Nike KD 9 Elite.

This new version of the KD 9 features a new one-piece stretch collar that replaces the Flyknit that is usually seen on the ankle. Another big difference is the much thicker and much more visible Flywire cables that run down the side panels that provide a lock-down fit. As far as the sole unit goes, Nike decided to keep the same one we see on the original KD 9. This colorway comes in dark grey on the entire upper with a metallic silver Swoosh and a red air sole unit.

At the moment this Nike KD 9 Elite is expected to release in Asia on February 24th. Stay tuned for information on a stateside release.

Nike Transforms The Air Max Plus TN Into A Slip-On Sneaker

Nike Sportswear continues to tinker with some of the more head-turning running silhouettes from the mid-to-late 1990s and fans of the ever-unique Nike Air Max Plus will either love the experimentation found in this new slip-on women’s exclusive or despise the Swoosh hiding some of the more memorable features of this pair. The Nike Air Max TN has been a fan-favorite in Europe for quite some time, and recent stateside retros have upped the interest leading to this Nike Air Max Plus Slip. The women’s exclusive features an updated slip-on construction with an extended height while chrome heels shine in either Metallic Silver and Metallic Gold. The unique visible air-wielding midsole returns, but the flame-like overlays are now embossed onto the seamless tech upper. What do you think of the look? The Nike KD 9 Elite Is Releasing Soon In Asia

nike-kd-9-elite-asia-release-date

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook made amends with a nice alley-oop during the All-Star Game, but now it’s back to business as the Golden State Warriors are chasing history once again. The team has the best record in the NBA for the third consecutive season and it looks like the addition of KD has gone as smoothly as possible. Now it’s time to look ahead to the playoff push, as Nike Basketball has unveiled the Nike KD 9 Elite for the postseason.

Durant has already unveiled this pair in-game in an all-black colorway, but for those curious as to the construction of the upcoming model, this Wolf Grey/Bright Crimson option should do the trick. The updated KD 9 features a woven Flyknit construction, a head-turning lacing system where the laces double as a sort of Dynamic Flywire lockdown system, and a slip-on upper that features a lightweight textile that stretches with the foot for a comfortable ride. Don’t worry, that full-length Zoom Air cushioning system remains and an iridescent metallic Swoosh similar to that found on the debut PG 1 hits the KD 9 Elite in its first retail release. This option is debuting in Asian territories this Thursday, February 23rd.

What do you think of KD’s latest Elite model? Check out a better view below and stay tuned for a stateside release in the near future, as we’ll update you on a Release Date right here on Sneaker News.
