This Nike KD 9 Texas Is Actually Releasing To The Public

No, the Nike KD 9 Texas is not a player exclusive. As a matter of fact, the shoe that pays home to Kevin Durant’s alma mater will actually be releasing to the public. The Texas-themed Nike KD 9 pays home to the time (1 year) Durant spent attending and playing for the Longhorns.
Durant has this to say about his school..

“Attending UT was one of the best experiences of my life and launching the KD 9 back in Austin this past June reflects my love for the college experience I had 10 years ago,”

The Nike KD 9 Texas comes in a White and Burnt Orange colorway, with standout features such as the “3” and “5” on the tongue and the Texas branding on the heel pull tabs. Set to release on Match 10th, if you’d like to see them in action beforehand, make sure you see the UT women’s team wearing them on Saturday, March 4, at the Big 12 tournament. Are you looking forward to this release? Let us know in the comments below.

The Nike Air Uptempo University Blue Pack Releases This Weekend

The All-Star Weekend festivities may be over, but Nike Sportswear still has a bunch of heat that was unveiled in New Orleans last week opening up for a more general release this Saturday, February 25th. Perhaps the most unexpected drop was the Nike Air Max Uptempo University Blue “All-Star” Pack, a trio that took the infamous Uptempo series to task with a lifestyle suede rendition on each classic 90s basketball model.

The North Carolina-esque rendition furthered Nike Sportswear’s recent retro obsession with upgrading the performance silhouette into a more lifestyle-ready context, and the Nike Air Max Uptempo, the Nike Air Max2 Uptempo, and the Nike Air Max Uptempo 97 all benefited from the clean look.

Select Asian retailers are already reporting a Saturday release with other stateside shops looking to drop the Uptempo “All-Star” Pack on February 25th as well. Be on the lookout for this Uptempo trio to arrive at Nike.com this weekend.

Sean Maltos Nike SB Dunk Elite Low Is Inspired By Samurai

Nike Skateboarding rider Sean Malto has uncanny control over his skateboard, as he can weave his way through the streets or any competition course with the utmost of ease. That’s why Nike SB decided he’d be the perfect guy to help introduce the latest Nike Dunk rendition as the skate imprint’s 15th-anniversary celebration continues to give us notable drops throughout 2017. The Nike SB Dunk Elite Low “Sean Malto” takes inspiration from the flexibility of traditional samurai armour as this slimmed down silhouette benefits from unique stitching, premium brass accents and a brand new sock liner for additional comfort.

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been 15 years since Nike SB transformed the Dunk Low for a more skate-ready feel. After yesterday’s huge announcement that a number of shops would be participating in an exclusive raffle giving away a chance at some of the most iconic Dunk colorways ever, it’s only right that Nike News hit us with the next evolution of the legendary model. Malto’s exclusive colorway will be available from Nike.com and select retailers on March 2nd while a general release launch option featuring grey and blue will follow on March 9th.

The Nike SB Dunk Elite Low “Grey/Blue” is also rooted in the history of Nike SB, as it references a sample that then GM of Nike SB Sandy Bodecker took around to skate shops back in 2002. This pair better represents the freshly re-engineered upper with an overhauled lightweight feel. A larger Zoom Air bag hits the midsole for maximum impact absorption while the shoe is comprised of a one-piece upper with a seamless construction.

You’ll have to wait until March 2nd to grab this updated Nike SB Dunk Elite Low, but check out more detailed shots below and stay tuned for more Nike SB updates on Nike.com.

Nike To Release First-Ever KD Shoe In Texas Colors

Kevin Durant only spent a year at the University of Texas playing in those iconic burnt orange uniforms, but he made it worth both his and the college’s while with historic numbers for a freshman before darting to the NBA. Today we get a look at the coming Nike KD 9 “Texas” set to be worn by the women’s Longhorns squad in the coming Big 12 Conference Tournament this Saturday followed by a March 10th release.

Nike’s referenced the Texas Longhorns atop past KD silhouettes, but this will be the first time that any Longhorns-themed logo will be placed on a retail release. The KD 9 Texas benefits from an off-white sail Flyknit upper with that burnt orange hue proudly donned on the Swoosh branding and unique ’35’ contrasting tongue stitching. The heel tab also features ‘Texas’ boldly printed on it so there’s no doubt as to what the inspiration for this pair is.
