Riccardo Tisci and NikeLab have a very special offering planned for Air Max Day. That?s right, yet another must-have release is headed to retailers during Nike?s annual holiday celebrating visible air, as the Riccardo Tisci x Nike Air Max 97 Mid will release on March 26th exclusively at NikeLab retail locations.

In an interview with Nike News, Tisci opened up about how he believes the next great trend in the fashion world is honesty. The Air Max 97 is an iconic, young shoe of 90s. At the time I was involved with DJs and music, and in the clubs the people leading the big waves were wearing Air Max. That period has a lot of history. It was the first meeting of sportswear and fashion.?

Tisci adds a mature twist to the iconic sportswear model, as a mid-top construction features premium tumbled leather with embossed RT x Nike branding on the updated ankle collar. The all black colorway also features touches of suede on the tongue and underlying wavy panels, giving it an updated lifestyle aesthetic that goes beyond just the updated height. Metallic Gold accents on the Swoosh branding throughout add a luxurious finish sure to please those looking for a streetwear-ready take on the Air Max 97 like they’ve never seen before.
