You can?t go wrong with a pair. The construction and colorway is pretty solid. I?m just a fan of the palette and this is a clean-looking pair overall.

KoF Live: Air Jordan 11 Low Metallic Gold (Closing Ceremony) Unboxing

I’ve been waiting a long time to own a pair of golden Air Jordan 11s. Ever since Ray Allen showed us what was possible with his golden 11s for both the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat – not to mention the Defining Moment Air Jordan 11 – I’ve held out hope for a retail release. And now we’re getting it in the form of the Air Jordan 11 Low Metallic Gold (Closing Ceremony). Does it have Olympic ties? Who knows? What really matters is that my sneaker dream shoe (well, one of the many sneaker dream shoes) is finally happening.

There are a few caveats with using the gold, however. Watch the video up top and you’ll know what I mean when I say, “maybe don’t buy this sight unseen online.”

As we get closer to the release, be sure you’ve bookmarked our Air Jordan 11 Low Metallic Gold (Closing Ceremony) launch page for all the breaking news, images, videos and links to buy when they go live.

Chris Pauls Air Jordan 11 Low Clippers PE That Never Was

Chris Paul‘s career still has a lot of ‘what ifs’ lingering in the background. What if his trade to the Los Angeles Lakers hadn’t been vetoed by the NBA for the infamous “basketball reasons” ruling? What if CP3 and Blake Griffin weren’t hurt for this year’s playoffs? What if Jordan Brand had released this Clippers-inspired Air Jordan 11 Low? Today we get a look at a rare Jordan 11 Low Chris Paul PE that never was, inspired by his current tenure with LA’s other team.

The Jordan 11 Low has been overhauled countless times in the past handful of years including this weekend’s “Closing Ceremony” release featuring premium metallic gold patent leather in honor of the Olympics. This Air Jordan 11 Low Chris Paul “Clippers” look doesn’t utilize no.3 PE branding or even show off CP3’s personal Jordan Brand logo. Instead, it relies heavily on shades of Varsity Red and Game Royal on the Cordura mesh upper and inner lining. A white patent leather mudguard adds a clean albeit surprising finish while a translucent outsole unit ditches any lingering icy additions.

What do you think of Chris Paul’s Air Jordan 11 Low? Check out more photos below and stay tuned for more Jordan release date updates right here on Sneaker News.

Following the release of the golden Air Jordan 5 last weekend, Jordan Brand will stay in the gold category this weekend as they’ll be giving us a new white/gold Air Jordan 11 Low.

Known as either the Closing Ceremony or Metallic Gold colorway, the fact of the matter is that this is white and gold Air Jordan 11 and people will go crazy over it. Of course it would have been nice if it were a Mid (that’s the reason I’m passing on it), but we can’t have our cake and eat it too, right? This Air Jordan 11 features a premium White leather upper with Metallic Gold landing on the patent leather mudguard as well as on the branding. Men and kids sizes will be arriving at retailers on August 27th (Saturday) for $170 and $130, respectively. Will you cop or pass? Let us know in the comments below.

Author’s Take

I was a fan of these 11s when I first saw them but then I realized that if I were to buy them I probably wouldn?t wear them that much. I?ll just save my $170 and pick up the Bred 1s next week instead.

The Upcoming Air Jordan 1 What The Will Be Known As The Top Three Colorway

New details have emerged on the potential Air Jordan 1 What The that has been rumored to release later this year.

It appears that the shoe will actually be known as the Air Jordan 1 Top Three and will consists of a combination of the OG Bred, Royal, and Chicago colorways. The significance of the “Top 3″ name also comes from Michael Jordan being drafted #3 overall back in the 1984 NBA Draft.

We also recently find out that according to Foot Locker Europe this mash up Air Jordan 1 is  currently scheduled to release on November 28, 2016. There is no US release date yet but it’s possible that it is the same as the European date. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates on the release of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Top Three.

I’m not opposed to a What The themed Air Jordan 1 releasing, but I’m definitely curious to see what Jordan Brand comes up with. This could either be a huge success or a big failure.

Solid colorway for the ladies. The plum makes it too much of a women’s colorway though so I wouldn’t but it for myself.

This is one of the ugliest colorways of the Air Jordan 3 that I’ve seen in quite some time. Where’s the creativity Jordan Brand??

Details Behind The Air Jordan 1 Top Three aka What The

Earlier today we gave you news of a release date of the Air Jordan 1 mash-up briefly dubbed the “What The” Air Jordan 1. Jordan Brand confirms that this upcoming release is actually called the Air Jordan 1 “Top 3” and features color detailing from the three most iconic AJ1s of all-time – the “Banned”, the “Chicago”, and the “Royal”. The number 3 is also a nod to Jordan’s third overall selection in the 1984 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls. According to Foot Locker Europe, the Air Jordan 1 “Top Three” is slated for a release on November 28th, 2016.

Cop The Air Jordan 1 Banned Early

Next Saturday, September 3rd, Jordan Brand is bringing back one of their most iconic sneakers in the Jordan 1 Banned, but you won’t have to wait that long if you head over to eBay today. 2016’s rendition of the pair that was infamously banned by the NBA for not including enough white throughout the colorway by 1985 standards, comes equipped with a remastered upper complete with tumbled leather on the toecap and the Swoosh branding.

The Air Jordan 1 “Banned” promises to be one of the biggest releases in the Jumpman’s 2016 release slate not only because of the historical implications that come with this pair, but also due to the quality control included in this year’s release. It wasn’t that long ago that Jordan Brand announced their Remastering program that would pay extra attention to detail on molds and factory completion to give you a better retro release. That methodology appears to have paid off with this “Banned” release as the traditional Varsity Red and Black combination benefits from OG Wings branding on the ankle collar, ‘Nike Air’ tongue tags, and more.

Are you excited about the return of the Air Jordan 1 Banned? Be sure to check out more detailed shots below and head over to eBay to secure your size today.

What The Air Jordan 1 Releasing After Black Friday

Jordan Brand continues to pay homage to the legacy of the Air Jordan 1 with a number of classic colorways releasing throughout 2016, and even their latest Air Jordan XXX1 model is heavily inspired by Michael Jordan’s first signature silhouette. But perhaps the most interesting Air Jordan 1 related story will be the release of the Air Jordan 1 “What The” on November 28th.

The eclectic “What The” style was first introduced to the world by Nike Basketball with all-over prints and patterns referencing past colorways from the lines of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kobe Bryant. The Jordan 1 What The has received plenty of Photoshopped concepts but we haven’t seen the actual colorway just yet. The “What The” Air Jordan 1 joins the likes of the Air Jordan 6 “Black Cat”, Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam”, and Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” for a rather busy upcoming Holiday 2016 season for the Jumpman. Are you excited about the concept? We’ll keep you updated on more release dates right here on Sneaker News and stay tuned for a preview of the Air Jordan 1 What The in the coming weeks.
