The wait is nearly over as in less than 24 hours we’ll be seeing the release of the Air Jordan 5 Bronze. Unfortunately for Jordan Brand, adidas will also be releasing the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 so this release will be overlooked by many people.

Closing out the Summer and bringing in the Fall, this colorway of the Air Jordan 5 comes equipped with an Obsidian leather upper that is joined by hits of bronze on the tongue, lace lock, and the signature shark teeth on the midsole. A white midsole and Obsidian branding on the tongue and heel complete the Olympic-inspired look on this pair of Jordan 5s.

New Release Date For The Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard

AIR JORDAN 1 7 AIR JORDAN 1 8 AIR JORDAN 1 9 AIR JORDAN 1 10

Just like the Air Jordan 31 Shattered Backboard, Jordan Brand has pushed back the release date for the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Reverse Shattered Backboard.

Originally expected to drop on October 1st, we have now learned that the release of the Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard has been pushed back a week and is now scheduled to drop on October 8th. This Air Jordan 1 is believed to be a “reverse” version of the Shattered Backboard 1s that released last year but it actually uses the same color scheme as the Chicago 1s and replaces the red with orange. As we saw with Mache Customs earlier today, this Air Jordan 1 uses a premium leather all throughout the upper.

Will you be copping a pair come October 8th? Retail price will be $160. Be sure to visit our Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard hub page for all up to the minute release info and images.

Author’s Take

I missed out on the Shattered Backboards last year and I’m still a little salty over it. Maybe this can be a good alternative since I don’t wanna pay $500 for the original Shattered Backboards.

Previously expected to release next week on October 1st, Jordan Brand has just changed the release date for the Air Jordan 31 Shattered Backboard.

Additional details include a shattered backboard graphic on the inner tongue, and a translucent gum outsole.

Look for the Air Jordan 31 Shattered Backboard to release on the new date of October 8, 2016 for a retail price of $185.

All the pictures of this Shattered Backboard colorway are telling me that I like it. Now I’d just have to see it in person to give my final judgment.

The Air Jordan 11 Low Barons Could End Up Looking Like This

We recently reported that an Air Jordan 11 Low Barons is set to release sometime next year. Although there hasn’t been any confirmation of what the shoe will end up looking like, we recently came across this image that shows what the shoe could potentially end up looking like.

As of today, all we know is that the Air Jordan 11 Low Barons will come in a Black/Metallic Silver and White color scheme. So seeing it done in the manner in which you see it above is certainly not out of the question. A Black mesh is combined with a Metallic Silver patent leather noted on the toe and mudguard. Additional Black can be seen on the laces and lining, while the combination of a White midsole and translucent outsole is spotted below. Said to be priced at $175, keep it locked to Kicks on Fire to find out if the Air Jordan 11 Low Barons will actually end up looking like this. Hot or not?

Author’s Take

I’d be okay if the shoes end up looking like this. I’m a fan of the 11 Lows, and I’d be happy to add this pair to my arsenal.

Is This A First Look At The Air Jordan 11 Low GS Blue Moon Sunset Blue

As you all know by now, a handful of Jordan 11 Low are scheduled to release next year. Form the bunch, there is no doubt in my mind that the return of the Air Jordan 11 Low Columbia will be the most coveted. Although that may be the case, I’m pretty sure many other people will still be interested in the other pairs dropping, take for example the Air Jordan 11 Low GS Blue Moon Sunset Blue you see above. Today we get a look at what the shoe could potentially end up looking like.

Said to be a GS exclusive, this Air Jordan 11 Low for the kids comes in a tonal offering as the two different shades of Blue take care of the mesh upper, lining and patent leather toe/mudguard. Matching laces, a White midsole and a translucent outsole complete the look of the shoe. If these do end up looking like these, would you be okay with it? Said to be dropping next year and priced at $130, stay tuned as more info on this release is soon to follow.

Author’s Take

I’d be find without the shade of Blue used on the lining, but then again, it’d look too much like the Jordan 11 Navy Gum pair that dropped earlier this year, right?

Could This Be The Air Jordan 11 Low GS White Pure Platinum

Earlier this month we let you know that three new colorways of the Air Jordan 11 would be dropping next year. One of those colorways was the Air Jordan 11 Low GS White Pure Platinum. Today we get a first look of what is believed the shoe will end up looking like.

Said to not only be a GS exclusive, but also a part of the Heiress collection, the Air Jordan 11 Low GS White Pure Platinum comes dressed on a White upper done in what appears to be a leather/patent leather construction. The Pure Platinum can be found on the lining and the tongue, while additional White is noted on the midsole and a translucent outsole below. Said to be priced at $175, let us know what you think of this potential first look at the shoe.

Author’s Take

It’s not confirmed that the shoe will end up looking like this, but if it does, I would not be mad at it. Won’t come in my size, so I guess it doesn’t really matter, right?

Remembering The Shattered Backboard For The Next Jordan 31 Release

Michael Jordan may have never broken the backboard of a basketball hoop with one of his acrobatic dunks in an NBA game – that was a move designated for Shaquille O’Neal in the early 90s – but His Airness did manage to get one of his shattered backboards caught on footage during an international game in Italy. That was the inspiration behind last year’s surprise hit, the Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard”, a retro pair that featured a Black Toe-like colorway with additional Starfish orange accents to match the jerseys worn in the international competition. Now Jordan Brand is bringing the inspiration back for the Air Jordan 31 Shattered Backboard on October 10th for $185 USD.

The Jordan 31 Shattered Backboard benefits from a premium leather heel panel, with the overall construction of the latest Jordan signature silhouette paying homage to Mike’s first model. A unique gradient pattern fades from orange to black on the Flyweave woven upper while an interesting shade of off-white manages to captivate on the outsole. This Air Jordan XXX1 won’t be the only Shattered Backboard inspiration releasing this October either, as a new Air Jordan 1 “Reverse Shattered Backboard” will arrive at retailers on October 8th for $160 USD.

The Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard features a familiar color blocking with that beautiful combination of off-white Sail tumbled leather and Starfish orange, only this time around, black plays a more subdued role with the overall colorway representing a more Chicago-like blocking when compared to last year’s release. What do you think of Jordan Brand’s “Shattered Backboard” plans for October 2016?

Another On-Feet Look At The Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard

Still indecisive when it comes to the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard? Perhaps this new on-feet look of the shoe will help with your purchasing decision. Courtesy of the Mache Custom, here’s the latest look at the upcoming Air Jordan 1 drop.

Said to be a reverse version (although it’s really not) of the Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard, this Jordan 1 comes dressed in nice premium leather upper made out of a clean White, Orange and Black colorway. When it comes to the color blocking of the shoe, it reminds of the Chicago 1s. Mache also mentioned that the texture/quality of the leather is a mix between the Shattered Backboards from last year and the Banned 1s that dropped a few weeks ago, take that as you may. What are your thoughts? Be sure to visit our Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard hub page for all up to the minute release info and images.

Author’s Take

I love the way the leather looks on the side panels and the overall color scheme is solid. I have the original Shattered Backboards, it’d be nice to have these as well. I guess I’ll make up my mind at the very last minute.

More Patent Leather Air Jordan 1s Are On The Way

AIR JORDAN 1 1 AIR JORDAN 1 2 AIR JORDAN 1 3 AIR JORDAN 1 4 AIR JORDAN 1 5 AIR JORDAN 1 6

Following up the patent leather Grove Green colorway that we recently showcased, we now get a first look at another upcoming Air Jordan 1 that also features patent leather.

Opting for the tonal route, this Air Jordan 1 High takes on a Deep Royal upper with patent leather covering the majority of the shoe and textured leather overlays. Contrasting Black then lands on the tongue tag and inner liner with “Anti-Gravity Machines” written on the inner tongue tag. Down below is a white midsole with a Deep Royal outsole.

Look for this patent leather covered Air Jordan 1 to arrive at select retailers next month for $150.

Author’s Take

I like the green/black pair better than this one. A different color should have been added on the upper, maybe black or white.

Our First Look At This Air Jordan 6 GS Navy Suede

Another Air Jordan 6 may be releasing in the near future. Said to be a GS exclusive, the shoe has no name yet but let’s just go ahead and call it the Air Jordan 6 GS Navy Suede for now.

The first image of the shoe shows that the Jordan 6 comes in a tonal suede upper done in a nice Navy suede construction. The same Navy hue is also spotted on the tongue, laces, lining and branding and part of the midsole. White takes care of the lower part of the midsole, while a translucent outsole can be spotted below. No word on when these will drop but stay tuned to get all the latest info on this potential release.

Author’s Take

Low key salty that these won’t be available in men’s sizes. Don’t own any Jordan 6s, but I’d be down to pick up this pair and make it my first.

The Bronze Tongue Air Jordan 5 Hits The Shelves Tomorrow

We may be well past the 2016 Summer Olympics at this point, but Jordan Brand still has one more sneaker to release that ties into the sporting festivities. Was the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Bronze Tongue” originally intended to release closer to the Olympics and ended up being pushed back? Or was it never meant to have anything to do with the medal awarded to each third place contestant? The world may never know, but we do know that the shoe sporting a shiny Obsidian upper with a metallic bronze tongue and accents will be arriving at Jordan Brand retailers tomorrow. Get one last look if you’re still on the fence about picking up a pair, and then find them in full family sizing at select Jordan brand retailers like Sneaker Politics.

More Patent Leather Air Jordan 1 High Releases Are Coming

Patent leather styles of the Air Jordan 1 are dropping in stores now, as you’ve already seen the money ‘Gorge Green’ appear on your favorite store shelves. Beginning in October, Jordan Brand will release other colorways of the glossy AJ1s like this “Deep Royal” colorway, which takes on the same two-toned look of patent and grain leather above a white midsole and matching outsole. When we first caught wind of a catalog shot of the shoes, they appeared to be more uniform in the patent leather for a DSM x Air Jordan 1 type look, but clearly they’re a tad different from that epic collaboration from a year ago. Check out a detailed images here and expect a release in October.

Air Jordan 12 Wool Release Date Moved Forward One Week

The Air Jordan 12 has already had a major year throughout 2016 thanks to the likes of the French Blue, Flu Game, and special edition ‘Wings’ renditions all releasing.
