A new report by Forbes ranks Michael Jordan as the 4th richest celebrity in America for 2016. According to Forbes, Jordan has an estimated net worth of $1.2 billion. Michael only trails Oprah Winfrey ($2.8 billion), Steven Spielberg ($3.7 billion), and George Lucas ($4.6 billion) on the list. So what’s MJ’s “key source of fortune”? Yeah, you guessed it. Jordan Brand.

The sports world suffered a tragic loss this week as legendary broadcaster/analyst Craig Sager passed away after a long battle with leukemia. While many NBA teams have been honoring him and paying their respects in various ways, basketball wasn’t the only sport that he had an impact on.

A number of freshly minted Jordan Brand and Nike release dates have been announced throughout the day, and next up is an exclusive for the kids with this brand new Air Jordan 13 “Hyper Pink” slated to arrive at retailers on January 28th, 2017 for $140 USD.

The Air Jordan 13 Hyper Pink brings the reflective 3M touch back to the mesh upper, as a tumbled black leather hits the mudguard and toecap to contrast the Anthracite base throughout. The panther inspired Jumpman branding is back with its signature holographic aesthetic while the Hyper Pink touches appear in sparse accents on the branding and outsole. The Air Jordan 8 will kick off 2017 as this new UNDFT-inspired pair is expected to release next month.

Covered in a Sequoia green upper, this new colorway of the Air Jordan 8 is then accented with hits of Black, Wolf Grey, and Max Orange. The signature fuzzy Jumpman on the tongue is also seen on this colorway along with cross-straps.

The Air Jordan 8 Sequoia is expected to release on January 28, 2017 in men’s and kids sizes. Retail price for men’s sizes will be $190. The pictures above are of the GS pair, not the men’s.

The Air Jordan 12 Low “Playoffs” will release on February 25th, 2017 with a retail price of $170. This is the first-ever low-top iteration of this original colorway that first surfaced in 1997. Did the fragment x Air Jordan 1 really sell at Marshall’s for $59.99? Two Instagram photos have gone viral, showcasing the highly-coveted fragment x Air Jordan 1 that released in late 2014 with a Marshall’s tag with a $59.99 price. It sounds completely inane that these rare gems would appear at the discount retailer, but we’ve definitely seen some random gems pop up from time to time. Considering the shoes sell for around $1,500 on eBay and Stadium Goods, many are calling this a hoax.
