2017 will bring us new colorways of the Air Jordan 6 as we just saw the debut of the Hyper Pink pair this past weekend.

Another pair that we can add to this year’s list is this Still Blue colorway. When you see this shade of blue you can’t help but think of Michael’s days in North Carolina before he turned pro. This Air Jordan 6 features a tonal upper that alternates between smooth and tumbled leather. The laces, tongue, inner liner, and heel tab have also been done in the same shade of blue with contrasting white landing on the outsole and part of the heel tab.

There is no release date yet for this Air Jordan 6 but it is expected to arrive some time in the Spring. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

The World Series Champion Chicago Cubs visited president Barack Obama at the White House today, who happens to be a fan of the Cubs.

Dexter Fowler, who is no longer with with the Cubs but was a part of last year’s championship team, gifted president Obama a special pair of Air Jordan 4s. Seen above, the shoe is actually the Air Jordan 11LAB4 which features a full patent leather upper inspired by the Jordan 11 and it comes in all-black. Details include the Presidential seal on the tongue and Obama’s signature lasered by the ankle. The shoes were also housed in a special premium wooden box with Derek Jeter?s RE2PECT slogan covering the shoes.

Earlier today Nike and Jordan Brand unveiled their blacked-out collection of PE colorways for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and now we get a closer look at the Jordan sneakers within the honorary pack. Being worn by Jordan Brand athletes around the NBA during today’s traditional full slate of games to honor the great civil rights leader, the collection contains the Air Jordan 31, Melo M13, CP3.X, Super.Fly 5, and Extra.Fly, each in fully black colorways from top to bottom with “BHM” branding. Dexter took to Instagram to show off this one of a kind box with Derek Jeter’s RE2PECT slogan covering up what promises to be an exclusive pair for the leader of the free world. The Presidential Seal is even laser etched onto the box for added exclusivity.

We’re talking about the Air Jordan 13 “Black Cat”, a shoe that takes the model’s overall inspiration of a black panther to task with a general release that features black mesh and nubuck with additional touches of 3M reflective material throughout the upper to match the holographic branding.

During 2005, LA-based streetwear label, Undefeated, produced a special rendition of the Air Jordan 4.

In 2017, the Air Jordan 8 will be reinterpreted in a color scheme that is somewhat reflective of the lifestyle imprint’s signature tones, although, this forthcoming pair doesn’t correlate with the Los Angeles brand as previous rumors suggested.

The sneaker’s nubuck-based upper is essentially draped in sequoia green, while black and wolf grey accents are implemented on the rear mudguard, tongue and sole unit. Finally, pops of max orange adorn the chenille Jumpman-branded tongue patch and graphic detailing on the outsole to cap off the respective theme.

Artist KAWS will be working together with Jordan Brand to release a collaboration for Spring 2017.

While there hasn’t been any confirmation on what the silhouette of choice will be, there’s strong indications that it’ll be an Air Jordan 4. Early images have surfaced of an Air Jordan 4 with glow-in-the-dark outsoles which have KAWS’ signature “XX” logos on them.

Jordan Brand says that the Jordan 13 Low Chutney represents a lifestyle influence on basketball that was started by Jordan with the Air Jordan 9. Tinker Hatfield was the first to introduce alternate versions of a performance basketball shoe in lifestyle colors to the world of footwear.

The shoe features a Black leather and suede upper with Chutney detailing on the side panels, inner liner, outsole, and the Jumpman logo on the tongue. Lastly we have a gold Jumpman logo by the ankle to finish things off.

There are now reports that the OG Playoffs colorway will also be making a comeback. Covered in a Black tumbled leather throughout the majority of the upper, suede detailing can then be seen on the mudguard and midsole. Completing the Chicago Bulls-inspired color scheme are hits of True Red and White on the branding, midsole, and outsole. As always, the signature hologram logo can be seen on the ankle.
