The Charlotte Hornets Will Be Rocking Jordan Brand Jerseys Next Season

Next season 29 our of the 30 teams will be suiting up in brand new Nike jerseys. Can you guess which team won’t? Yup, Michael Jordan’s Charlotte Hornets. Jordan’s team will be the only team in the NBA to wear Jordan Brand jerseys.

As far as we know, the only major difference between a Nike jersey and Jordan Brand jersey would be swapping out the Swoosh for the Jumpman, any other changes regarding the aesthetics of the jersey have yet to be announced.

Per team press release:

The Hornets will be the only team in the NBA wearing Jordan Brand uniforms, and with the agreement taking effect, the Hornets Fan Shop will have even more of the popular Jordan Brand Hornets merchandise than it has had previously.

Coach Calipari Stunts In Both Pairs Of OVO x Air Jordan 8 Calipari Pack

While most of us are waiting to see if/when the OVO x Air Jordan 8 Calipari Pack will drop, Coach Calipari is having a hard time deciding which pair from the pack he should wear.

Coach Calipari took to his IG to show all his followers that the man behind the inspiration of the pack already has his pairs. Seen wearing one shoe from both colorways, he goes on and captions the image with “Black or white? Drake, you’re big, my friend!”

Rocking University of Kentucky?s school colors, the first pair comes in a White upper accented by the Kentucky Blue and Red Jumpman, while the second pair comes in Black while also being accented by the Kentucky Blue. If you had a choice between the two pairs, which one would you cop?

Stay tuned to see if these end up getting a release date.

Heres A Detailed Look at OFF WHITEs Avant-Garde Air Jordan 1

Virgil Abloh’s OFF WHITE imprint showcased some truly experimental takes on the Nike Air Force 1 Low and the Nike Blazer, but those pale in comparison to what the designer did with the iconic Air Jordan 1 model. The avant-garde take on Michael Jordan’s first signature silhouette takes inspiration from the Air Jordan 1 Chicago colorway, but deconstructs the numerous panels for a head-turning what are those aesthetic that’s part high-fashion part straight up ballsy. The Jordan 1 has long-since been an untouchable fashion icon that Jordan Brand has kept off-limits to new interpretations and collaborative efforts. That all changed when Hiroshi Fujiwara and his fragment design brand released their interpretation a few years back.

The OFF WHITE Jordan 1 concept features the “Everything In Quotes” motif through labeling each individual shoelace and the “AIR” on the midsole, oversizing the Swoosh and connecting it to the model in contrast blue and orange stitching, and even adding additional off-white panels on the heel for a literal nod to the brand’s name. This release will be quite the polarizing offering, so what do you think? Are you a fan of the OFF WHITE Jordan 1?

Check out more detailed shots below and know that there’s also a rumor floating around that an OFF WHITE Air Jordan 4 is in the works. For more of the latest Jumpman updates, be sure to head to our Jordan Release Dates page.

A Closer Look At The Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High Chicago

Earlier this month we got our first look at the sample Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High Chicago. Today we get an even closer look at the sneaker many of you want to see drop. Will it? Only time will tell.

The Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High sample comes in a Chicago color scheme where the shoe is mostly done in a Red, White and Black color scheme. Although it does use those three colors, so many more features and details are incorporated on to the design. The end-result is kind of like a deconstructed finish that kind of has a “blueprint” design feel to them, if that makes any sense. Additional OFF-WHITE and Nike/Jordan branding throughout the shoe, extra stitching and labeling a Swoosh that does not appear to be stitched on to the upper and an array of different materials used on the upper are just some of the reasons why this Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High Chicago is one of a kind. Stay tuned to find out is this sample becomes an actual release somewhere down the line.

The Air Jordan 5 Premium Triple Black Is Set To Release This Summer

The Air Jordan 5 Premium “Pure Platinum” is set to release this weekend featuring that luxurious Pinnacle-esque construction for $400. That won’t be the last time we see the lifestyle revamp of Michael Jordan’s fifth signature silhouette either, as rumors are swirling surrounding this Air Jordan 5 Premium Triple Black, slated to arrive at shops come July 2017. The pair boasts a slightly altered construction when compared to previous Jordan 5 Premium options, as the deconstructed mesh side panel ventilation system is now ribbed to match the ribbed tongue for added texture. The overall height of the tongue looks to be diminished too to coincide with that updated ‘Flight’ lace lock system. What do you think of the look? Check out more detailed shots below and stay tuned for more Jordan Release Dates right here on Sneaker News.
