adidas Skateboarding: LA Stories With Snoop Dogg & Mark Gonz Gonzales
By SoleInsider
adidas Skateboarding is happy to announce the highly anticipated ?LA Stories? collaboration between entertainment icon Snoop Dogg and skateboarding legend Mark ?Gonz? Gonzales. This collaboration will feature a limited edition footwear and apparel collection highlighted with Southern California iconography that represents the West Coast experiences of both Snoop Dogg and Gonz.
The West Coast mashup will begin with an animated video series narrated by Snoop Dogg and Gonz. In these videos, both will share comedic stories about growing up in Southern California. The collaboration is inspired from their shared ?SoCal? heritage – Snoop Dogg originated from Long Beach and Gonz from East Los Angeles ? as the two icons established a friendship many years ago based off their mutual respect for Los Angeles street culture.
Mark Gonzales;
“I met Snoop way back in the early 90s in Westwood, California at a 7-Eleven. At the time I thought, ya know, he?s cool we could totally be friends and now it?s 2016 and here we are working together and collaborating on this shoe.?
Two revolutionary personalities in pop culture, Snoop Dogg and Gonz bring the best of skateboarding and hip-hop to the ?LA Stories? series with a legacy in Southern California street culture reaching back 30 years. A genuine friendship sparked by a mutual affinity for the LA music and skate scene, the duo releases the first video in the ?LA Stories? series which focuses on how youth in their neighborhoods responded to the arrival of the ice cream truck on hot summer days. The complete opposite of the typical storyline, Snoop Dogg and Gonz share their comedic narration on what happens when the ice cream truck breaks down in the ?hood?.
The ?LA Stories? collaboration between Snoop Dogg and Mark ?Gonz? Gonzales connects back to the adidas Skateboarding brand focus of empowering creators in street culture, music and art. Stay tuned to @adidasSkateboarding for future announcements.
Gold And Gum Cover This Premium Version Of The adidas Gazelle
By SoleInsider
Said to be a part of the adidas Fall/Winter collection, check out this clean premium iteration of the adidas Gazelle. Although simple in aesthetics and design, sometimes the less you do, the better.
The adidas Gazelle starts off with a White leather upper. The White base is nicely accented by the hits of Gold branding noted on the panels and tongue. Additional White can be seen on the Three Stripes and laces. Below you will find a classic gum sole to help give it that classy and premium look. Inside of the shoe you will find a Tan leather lining that matches up pretty nicely with the gum sole of the shoe. Said to release on November 1st, let us know if you plan on adding these to your Fall/Winter rotation.
Official Images Of The adidas Ultra Boost Triple White 3.0
By SoleInsider
In addition to the Triple Black adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 that will be releasing some time during the Spring/Summer of 2017, the new iteration of the Ultra Boost will also be releasing in another Triple White variation.
Seen above are official images of the upcoming release which comes with a new Primeknit construction on the upper along with subtle hits of grey. A milky translucent heel counter, silver detailing on the “Ultra Boost” branding, a white Boost midsole, and a white Continental rubber outsole round out the details.
As previously mentioned, the adidas Ultra Boost Triple White 3.0 is expected to release in the Spring/Summer of 2017. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.
Gazelle fever is an all-time high as adidas continues to give us more and more colorways of the classic silhouette. Seen above is what will most likely go down as one of the best colorways to release this year.
Covered in the usual suede upper, this adidas Gazelle is dressed in a rich Maroon hue with contrasting white hits on the three stripes branding, tongue, and heel tab. Gold Gazelle branding and a gum sole unit finish off the look on this classic sneaker.
Will you be grabbing a pair this Fall? Peep the on-feet images above and let us know what you think.
I think it’s safe to say that this is my favorite colorway of the Gazelle so far. The combination of the maroon suede upper with the gum sole is just too good.
Shaggy Suede Covers This adidas Originals Stan Smith
By SoleInsider
New colorways of the adidas Originals Stan Smith continue releasing for the Fall season as today we take a look at this Vapor Green colorway.
Highlighted by its shaggy suede upper done in Clear Brown/grey, this Stan Smith then gets hit with leather detailing on the heel tab and inner liner which have been done in Vapor Green. Addition pops of green appear on the tongue branding and insoles, while a white rubber midsole wraps things up.
You can scoop up this adidas Stan Smith Vapor Green at select adidas accounts now for $90.
An Official Look At The adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 Triple Black
By SoleInsider
Not only will we be seeing the original adidas Ultra Boost release in a Triple Black colorway (hopefully before the end of the year), but we’ll also be treated to a Triple Black version of the upcoming Ultra Boost 3.0.
Defined by its new design on the Primeknit upper, the adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 in Triple Black covers the entire shoe in black for a sleek and versatile look. As you can see, the Boost midsole has also been blacked out for a different look.
We’re still awaiting a release date for the adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 Triple Black, but early reports have these dropping in Spring/Summer 2017. Check out the official images above and let us know your thoughts. Do you like the Ultra Boost 3.0 better than the original?

Author’s Take
The new Primeknit design reminds me of the Yeezy Boost 350. Not sure how I feel about that since I’m not a fan of the Yeezys. I guess I’ll have to wait until I see these in person.
A Woolen Adaptation Of The adidas EQT Support 93 Is Releasing Soon
By SoleInsider
While the NMD and Boost-cushioned runners remain as the current rage, adidas is putting heavy focus on (arguably) its biggest performance tech of pre-Boost – the EQT. In fact, you might be privy to this uprising thanks to the ADV models, collaborations with Pusha T, and even last year’s underrated “Athleisure” Pack. Next weekend, adidas is offering up the EQT Support ’93 with woolen uppers to match the casual wintry aesthetic that will soon appear (in cities that have to deal with colder climates). These will officially launches on adidas.com as well as select retailers on November 5th.
Buy, Pass, Wait: Air Jordan 4 Ginger, adidas Harden Vol. 1, Under Armour Curry 3
By SoleInsider
The weekend presents a lot of options for sneakerheads as basketball – the sport that really started all of this – is back in business. Stephen Curry looks to rebound from the greatest regular season of all-time that also blew a 3-1 lead in the Finals and a unanimous MVP award while also dropping the most clowned at shoe of the year with the Under Armour Curry 3, Nike Basketball returns sans Kobe with a Battle Grey Pack and James Harden revealed his first signature shoe this past weekend (although it won’t drop until December). We’re talking about that and much more in this week’s edition of Buy, Pass, Wait.
Air Jordan 4 Ginger
Nike
Juan Martinez, Editor-In-Chief: (PASS) So basically Jordan Brand saw what Hender Scheme was doing and thought they could do it better and in an official capacity. The “official” is the keyword there because I wouldn’t buy a pair of Hender Scheme bootlegs no matter how well they were made or how much the price drops out of principle. That being said, I still wouldn’t buy a pair of the Ginger 4s because of the price and the fact that it looks like low-cut cowboy boots.
Renz Ofiaza, News: (BUY) I really like the tonal look and how it slightly differs in certain lighting conditions. I would’ve preferred Hender Scheme’s colorway, since it would probably age better in time. I’d buy this to re-sell though.
Juan Carrillo, News: (PASS) The more I see them, the more I like them. It’s just that $400 price tag, man. I bit too much for these in my opinion. The only way I’d consider getting these would be if the leather had been vachetta tan. If that would have been the case then I’d be more inclined in dropping $400 on them because there’s nothing quite more beautiful than a worn-in pair of Vachetta Tan shoes/sneakers.
Nike Air Presto Greedy
Nike
EIC Juan: (PASS) The colors don’t work for me, much like the similar themed Nike Air Max 95 Greedy or the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Top 3. I like the concept behind them and really, mismatched kicks should be a more normal occurrence, but the colors on the Presto take are just bland.
Renz: (BUY) The theme looks really great on the silhouette and it’s one of its best iterations so far this season.
News Juan: (PASS) I like the multi-color theme on the shoe, but not enough to make me want to get a pair. I feel like there’s something missing, I’m not sure what it is, but this is a shoe I can live without.
NikeLab Air Zoom Talaria Safari
Nike
EIC Juan: (BUY) I have zero nostalgia for the Talaria and would normally pass on any iteration of them, but I like the way iconic Safari print and colors are implemented on this new release. I would buy if there was no hassle in trying to get them, but I’m not going out of my way to cop.
Renz: (WAIT) I’ve always liked this theme, especially on the Air Max 1. It’s a stylish and appealing pair in my opinion, but, I’d rather get it at a lower price point.
News Juan: (WAIT) Big fan of the Safari theme/colorway. I also like the fact that Nike decided to bring back the Zoom Talaria. I just don’t feel like paying retail for these. I think there’s a good chance that these hit. When that day comes, I’ll scoop them up for the low-low!
Nike Basketball Battle Grey Pack (Pick One)
EIC Juan: Nike LeBron Soldier 10
Nike
Hey look, LeBron’s real signature shoe gets a solid grey and gold colorway that is an absolute must-buy. Look how far we’ve come from the disastrous Nike LeBron 13 release (note: I actually like the LeBron 13 but I’m weird so there’s that).
Renz: Nike Kyrie 2
Nike
I don’t even remember the last time I disliked a colorway on this sneaker. This version is just another versatile option that should appeal to many.
News Juan: Nike KD 9
Nike
I I had to pick my favorite from the 3, It would definitely the KD 9. Reason being, it’s my favorite model from the three, and it comes in the most versatile colorway. The Kyrie 2s are a close 2nd, but I’d definitely go for the KD 9s.
Thoughts On The adidas Harden Vol. 1
adidas
EIC Juan: Judging from the size of the event they had this past weekend, James Harden and adidas are determined to make the Vol. 1 a real thing in the sneaker world. It’s a bummer that a lot of people’s first impression of the shoe are those crappy leaks from a few months back but I think they are going to be pleasantly surprised with the results of the final product. I like the Pioneer colorway that we received at the event, but that Gila Monster is the hottest of hot fire and those are a must-have whenever they drop.
Renz: Aesthetically, I like how it balances a lifestyle look with performance. The asymmetrical lacing system is a cool element but I dislike the two-tone upper, especially in the Pioneer colorway. I like the olive-based version the most so far. It’s not that bad of a design and I like how it’s kept low-cut.
News Juan: The shoes look way better than the “first look” we saw a while back ago. The model has potential to look very different depending on the textures/pattern/colors adidas decides to put on its upper. Not a bad first signature sneaker. With that being said, why’d the Lakers have to beat up on Harden and the Rockets to begin the season? Come on, Harden!
Thoughts On The Under Armour Curry 3
Under Armour
EIC Juan: I’ve heard nothing but good things from those who have had time to mess around with the Under Armour Curry 3, so I’m not worried about the performance. Once again, it’s the look of the shoe that is going to be the deal breaker for those in the sneaker community because they fit what they’re looking for. However, that might not matter in the end ultimately because despite the beatdown they suffered in their home debut, Steph and the Warriors are going to demolish the NBA and people are going to want a piece of that in the form of their sneakers. Some will go KD, but many will go Steph. Sorry, Klay Thompson….
Renz: It seems like another generic design in my opinion. I like the minimalist/simplistic approach though, and it evokes more lifestyle appeal, which the designers obviously aimed for since that’s the key currently. At least the upcoming colorways are pretty appealing so far. I definitely like this style the most compared to its predecessors.
News Juan: Is it just me, or does the UA Curry 3 look eerily similar to the Air Jordan 22? With that being said, I was never fan of the 22s, which means I hold the same sentiment towards the Curry 3. The shoe may have evolved in the performance department, but in my opinion, it regressed in the looks department. They kind of look like the generic shoe 2K hooks you up with when you barely begin “My Career” mode and you have no money or skills. Ha!
Next we take a look at what is sure to be one of the most popular colorways due to how easy it’ll be to wear with pretty much anything. The adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 that you see above comes equipped with a Core Black upper that covers the Primeknit material, heel counter, cage, laces, and inner liner. The Boost midsole has been done in white while a black Continental rubber outsole wraps things up.
Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire to find out when this Core Black adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 will be arriving at retailers.
Chance The Rapper worked with Nike over the Summer on an exclusive “Unlimited Together” track to celebrate the Olympics. Now, he’s at the adidas HQ in Portland playing some pick-up ball on the grounds and getting free pairs of the adidas Yeezy Boost 750 “Light Brown” that just released a few weekends ago as well as a whole gang of free merch. In these photos posted by tour-mate Marcus Hyde, the Chicago native is clearly spending some quality time with the stripes, which could allude to a future partnership. adidas is certainly at the forefront when it comes to relevant partnerships with pop-culture icons, and there’s question that a collaboration with Chance will move the needle. Stay tuned for any developments on this potential partnership.

James Harden and the Houston Rockets kicked off their season last night in Los Angeles as they faced the rebuilding Lakers.
With adidas having unveiled his first every signature shoe over the weekend, adidas Harden Vol. 1, it was only right that James debut the sneaker on opening night. As you can see in the images above, The Beard wore the adidas Harden Vol. 1 in the black/white Pioneer colorway that will release on December 3rd. Even though Harden put up 34 points and a career-high 17 assists, the Lakers came out victorious 120-114.

A notable feature on the shoe is the adjustable lace overlays that allows you to tie up your shoes in a number of different combinations.
