The adidas NMD R1 Primeknit in its original form is returning this Saturday, May 20th in two eye-catching colorways. One options brings in the popular Oreo-esque mix of whites and blacks for that static-y aesthetic that has been such a hit with knit shoes, while the second shifts toward khaki tones for an earthier look. Both pairs will hit select adidas Originals retailers worldwide such as Canada’s Livestock for $170 USD.

A handful of new colorways of the adidas NMD XR1 are scheduled to releas later this month as we now give you an official look at the Core Black/Utility Black pair.

This women’s colorway of the NMD XR1 opts for a clean and simple look at Core Black and Utility Black come together on the Primeknit upper with additional black detailing on the laces, inner liner, heel, cage, and eyestay. Light grey/tan serves as a contrast as it can be seen on the heel pull tab and the EVA inserts on the white Boost midsole and outsole. Release date is scheduled for May 20th for a retail price of $150.

Joining the Core Black/Utility Black that we just showed you and also release later this month is the adidas NMD XR1 Pearl Grey.

This women’s colorway of the NMD XR1 features a Primeknit upper covered in the glitch camo print/graphic that has been seen on plenty of XR1s in the past. White and Pearl Grey combine on the Primeknit upper as well as on the cage, heel, laces, EVA inserts, Boost midsole, and outsole.

Ladies will be able to pick up the NMD XR1 at select adidas retailers on May 20th for $150.

adidas is back at it again this month when it comes to the NMD XR1 as they’ll be dropping lots of new colorways for both men and women. One of those pairs releasing for the guys is this Oreo colorway that is sure to remind lots of people of the Ultra Boost 3.0 that dropped earlier this year.

This adidas NMD XR1 comes constructed out of a Primeknit upper that combines black and white while using a glitch print/pattern. Grey is then placed on the cage, heel, and laces. Additional black hits can be seen on the tongue branding, heel pull tab, the EVA inserts on the midsole, and the rubber outsole. Last but not least we have a white Boost midsole to take care of the comfort aspect of the shoe. Look for the adidas NMD XR1 Oreo to release on May 20th for a retail price of $150.

In addition to the adidas NMD XR1 OG, there are also more NMD models releasing next weekend. Two of those are the Oreo and Linen Khaki colorways of the adidas NMD R1 Primeknit you see above.

Both versions of the adidas NMD R1 come with Primeknit constructed uppers paired up with the synthetic overlays on the signature Three Stripes branding. Other features on the shoe include the ribbed sock-like collar, the TPU accents on the heel tab, the EVA inserts placed atop the White Boost midsole and the tonal laces. What colorway do you prefer from the two. Whatever you preference is, you will be able to pick up a pair on May 20th for $170.

After taking a look at the black colorway of the adidas Stan Smith Sock Primeknit yesterday, the modified silhouette now gets the OG treatment.

This new version of the popular Stan Smith features a bootie/sock-like construction on the upper that is comprised of Primeknit material. As you can see, the laces have been removed giving the shoe that “sock” look. This colorway is clearly inspired by the OG Stan Smith as white dominates the Primeknit upper as well as the leather paneling on the medial side of the shoe. Green has then been placed on the leather heel tab along with “Stan Smith” branding. An off-white sole unit completes the look. No release date yet, but stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

Earlier this week we brought you a sneak peek at the upcoming adidas NMD R1 Primeknit Zebra Pack which features two matching black/white colorways of the popular runner. We now bring you the full set of official images of the white based pair.

This adidas NMD R1 is comprised of a full Primeknit upper done in white with a black zebra-like print/pattern also covering the shoe. Additional black accents can be seen on the rubber heel tab and the ankle, while white is placed on the laces, eyestay, and Boost midsole. Light grey EVA inserts and a milky white translucent outsole complete the look on the upcoming NMD R1. The adidas NMD XR1 OG comes with a Black Primeknit upper alongside even more Black on the cage and laces. The “sock” craze in the sneaker world is still alive and well. Many existing and new models now come with sock-collar uppers in an effort to create new and modern designs. Up next, none other than the adidas EQT Support ADV Sock.

The adidas EQT Support ADV Sock is essentially an adidas EQT Support ADV that is given a knitted sock-collar. There is no release info on the model yet, but above you will find a Grey pair as well as a Red pair. Both are placed on top of a White and Black sole unit. What are your thoughts of adding “socks” to some of your favorite models? I’m not against it, I’d just be very precautions when it comes to what models you opt to do it on. Just yesterday we gave you a first glimpse of the adidas Stan Smith Sock Primeknit which gives the classic silhouette a brand new look.

Similar to what adidas did with the NMD by converting it into the NMD City Sock, the laces have been removed from the Stan Smith transforming it into a bootie-type sneaker. The colorway that we see above comes constructed out of a black Primeknit upper with leather detailing on the heel tab and the medial side panel. Stan Smith and adidas branding has then been placed on the heel and side panels while an off-white classic Stan Smith rubber sole completes the look. There is no confirmed release date yet, but the Stan Smith Sock Primeknit is expected to debut this Summer.

The adidas NMD R2 Primeknit is the latest Boost model to receive the all-Black treatment The only part of the shoe not done in Black is the exposed Boost noted under the shoe. As far as the rest of the shoe goes, the Primeknit upper, laces, EVA inserts on the midsole, the Boost midsole, rubber outsole, pull tabs, branding and lining all come in a Black colorway. Very low maintenance, very versatile, very clean. No release date yet, but as soon as one is announced we will be sure to let you know. Thoughts?
