Simply staying true to its original 2015 aesthetic, the low-top sports the familiar Turtle Dove and Blue Grey Primeknit upper that bears the distinct knitted pattern across, while a white TPU ribbed sole that encases the full-length Boost cushioned sole solidifies the profile. Finally, heel tabs with red accents round out the popular style.

UPDATE: 7/23 – The adidas Yeezy Boost 350 ?Turtle Dove? is noted as the second silhouette from Kanye West following the OG high-top adidas Yeezy Boost 750 in 2015 and a closer look at the 2022 retro is showcased below. Defined by its almost Nike Roshe Run-like aesthetic with a more folksy influence due to the raw stitching seen along its intricately patterned primeknit upper, the retro will bear the familiar leather patch on the inner lateral side, in addition to the matching rope laces, and distinctive white heel tab with red stitching. Furthermore, the model is suggested to restock during YEEZY Day 2022 on August 1-2.

When the majority of us think about Kobe Bryant sneakers, we tend to link the late NBA superstar with Nike. This makes perfect sense since Kobe Bryant (estate) and Nike will soon be closing in on their 20-year anniversary. That being said, Kobe Bryant’s sneaker origin story did not begin with Nike. Rather, it began with adidas. For that reason alone, this is what makes these upcoming adidas sneaker releases so significant.

The adidas Crazy 97 EQT ((formerly known as the Elevation EQT) became a household name when Kobe Bryant laced them up on his way to winning the 1997 Slam Dunk contest, becoming the youngest dunk champion at the age of 18. Although not “officially” a Kobe Bryant signature sneaker, the Crazy 97 was considered the first kicks Kobe ever got from adidas.

The adidas Crazy 1 (formerly known as the adidas Kobe) made its debut back in 2000. A rerelease happened in 2006 while the latest retro took place during the mid-2010s. These Crazy 1 is also the sneaker Kobe wore during his his first of five NBA championships. Without a doubt one of Kobe’s most unique looking sneakers, the Crazy 1 is highlighted by its molded upper that was designed to look like the Audi TT Roadster. Other design include a double foam collar, half-shell toe, injected EVA midsole and a Torsion system. Always labeled as a controversial sneaker due to its looks, there’s no denying that the tone of this upcoming retro is much different than past offerings for the simple fact that Kobe is no longer with us. For that reason, this release will be much more memorable and emotional than all of its predecessors.

Although the Kobe Bryant and Nike partnership has recently been rekindled, adidas would still like to commemorate the legend that is Kobe Bryant by bringing back some of his most notable early models that he wore during his tenure with the Three Stripes.

The adidas Crazy 97 EQT will be returning in the classic Purple, Black and White colorway that Kobe wore during the 1997 Slam Dunk contest, as well as in a brand new Silver, Black, and White “All-Star” colorway nodding to the colors of 1997?s All-Star Weekend. Also making a return is the adidas Crazy 1 in the OG White and Black “Stormtrooper” colorway. Looking to grab a pair or three? All three pairs will be dropping overseas on July 22nd at select premium retailers which includes the good people over at BSTN (yes, they ship adidas product to the U.S.)

Elsewhere you will find Grey on the tongue and inner bootie as well as light Grey suede toe overlays. A Creamy sole unit with visible Orange pods underneath round out the main features of the sneaker.

While the 2022 NBA All-Star festivities in Cleveland already took place, the adidas Crazy 97 EQT All-Star 1997 is finally debuting at select retailers overseas as this exclusive pair commemorates the 25th anniversary of the momentous event. If you’re unfamiliar with this style, the silhouette was previously dubbed as the EQT Elevation, the very first model that Kobe Bryant wore during his NBA rookie season back in 1996-97. With the sneaker staying true to its OG aesthetic via the signature Three Stripe marking on its sides, alongside zig-zag detailing on the midsole, the overall makeup consists of black, white, and silver throughout. Finally, pops of orange and blue accents as an acknowledgment to the colors of the 1997 All-Star Weekend rounds out the profile nicely.

Now up for grabs, here is an official look at the adidas Ultra 4DFWD in the all new Core Black colorway.

Essentially a Triple Black iteration of the model, this adidas Ultra 4DFWD features a Primeknit textile upper that contains at least 50% Parley Ocean Plastic and 50% recycled polyester. A matching 4D-printed midsole atop a Continental rubber outsole is also in play. Other details include the blacked-out heel counter, Black laces, cage and lining.

Dropping in a couple of days, here is an official look at the Hebru Brantley x adidas Forum Collection.

In true Hebru Brantley fashion, authentic storytelling is an integral part of this collaboration between Hebru Brantley and adidas. The Hebru Brantley x adidas Forum Collection will include the Forum Low and Forum High inspired by Brantley?s characters Frogboy and Rocket, which were created to express a desire for freedom, a stance in solidarity and a determination to overcome.

This collective spirit to redefine what a protagonist looks like in our world is the very inspiration for the characters that Brantley creates. They inspired us to collaborate on a collection that will stand firmly in the zeitgeist and ground us in the confidence, agency and power that has always reflected the culture that inspired it.

The esteemed artist uses the adidas Forum High and Forum Low as his muses, bringing them to life with tongue details featuring his Frogboy and Rocket characters to dimensionalize his storytelling of Black heroes and futurism. The shoes are executed in tones from Brantley?s signature color palette, and also feature contrast lacing, hand-drawn rear quarter trefoil branding and illustrated sock liners.

Early on in 2022 we introduced to you the adidas Gil Zero Restomod. For those that may not know, the adidas Gil Zero Restomod is an updated version of Gilbert Arenas? first signature shoe, the adidas Gil Zero. The adidas Gil Zero Restomod comes equipped with modern materials and design elements. A few colorways have already been unveiled, but today we give you a first look at the adidas Gil Zero Restomod SLAM.

This colorway of the adidas Gil Zero Restomod will be SLAM Magazine’s very own colorway that nods to the 2008 collaboration with adidas where the sports magazine designed their own Gil II Zero. The design of the sneaker is inspired by the cover of SLAM Magazine where Arenas posed shirtless showing off his tiger chest tattoo, which is  used as the inspiration on the shoe. Details include the Orange patent leather, Blue tiger stripes, and tiger graphic on the tongue. Elsewhere you will find ?MY SWAG IS STILL PHENOMENAL? embossed on the medial strap, nodding to the OG pair that had ?MY SWAG WAS PHENOMENAL? debossed on the heels.

The adidas Gil Zero Restomod SLAM does not have a confirmed release date, but current reports have them debuting in the coming months. Retail is set at $140.

Although not as wild as last year’s Kerwin Frost x adidas collabs, there is no doubt that this colorway of the Kerwin Frost x adidas Microbounce T1 will still manage to turn some heads. This iteration of the Kerwin Frost x adidas Microbounce T1 comes dressed in a Multi-Color makeup done in a mix of materials that includes faux fur, mesh, leather, nubuck and patent leather. Standout details include the Kerwin Frost branding on the tongues and insoles atop its signature Microbounce cushioning.

adidas Skateboarding will be teaming up with premiere global Pro skateboarder Lucas Puig to bring to us the brand new adidas PUIG Indoor.

The adidas PUIG Indoor is a nouveaux take on Puig’s signature model. Led by skater-driven insights, the footwear was created out of Puig?s need for an elevated, lighter iteration of the PUIG that can double as the perfect by-the-door grab and go style.

The adidas PUIG Indoor will be releasing in three different colorways done in your choice of Cream/Scarlet, Black/White, and Grey/White. Recurring details on all three pairs include the premium leather and nylon construction with Gold detailing on the side and tongue. The sneaker also comes equipped with a high-grade EVA midsole, leather lining and molded sustainable insoles.

Brought back from adidas’ skate archives, the adidas Adimatic is now seen in a new “Bright Yellow” colorway. Every detail on this 2022 retro is authentic, from the zigzag midsole and supple leather to the unmistakably wide 3-Stripes. Giving it that modern touch, the shoe is made in part with recycled content generated from production waste, e.g. cutting scraps, and post-consumer household waste to avoid the larger environmental impact of producing virgin content. This pair gets covered in Bright Yellow suede all over the upper with Blue detailing on the branding throughout.
