adidas has been owning the laceless sneaker look, Nike has introduced self-lacing sneakers that were once a fictional creation in an 80s movie, and now PUMA looks to revamp the way you tie your shoes with their NETFIT system, a dynamic new customizable lacing construction that allows endless ways to tie your shoes for performance or lifestyle purposes. Puma looks to revolutionize the way you tighten your laces from the track, to the gym, to the street with a number of upcoming models with help from the world’s fastest human Usain Bolt and one of the world’s most prolific musicians in The Weeknd.
Adam Petrick, Global Marketing Director of PUMA stated: ?Our goal at PUMA is to constantly push the design of sports products forward in unique and innovative ways. NETFIT certainly does that ? it?s a performance innovation that allows for athletes at every level and across a range of sports to create their own, perfectly customized fit. But maybe even more exciting are the opportunities for creativity ? anyone can use laces of different colors, widths, lengths and styles to create a personal expression for each individual taste. With NETFIT, we?re bringing fashion and style to the world of Sports in a way that is uniquely PUMA.?
The PUMA NETFIT Collection will release throughout Summer 2017 with the Puma 365 evoKNIT NETFIT launching June 1st, the Puma Ignite Netfit in exclusive women’s colorways launching July 1st alongside the likes of the Puma Tsugi NETFIT, the Puma Ignite Limitless NETFIT, and the PUMA evoSPEED Indoor NETFIT. The Puma Ignite Netfit is available now on Puma, with other models to follow.
