Unveiled a few weeks back, we now get a better and more detailed look at the Nike Dunk Low Setsubun.

This special iteration of the Nike Dunk Low is inspired by Japan?s annual festival known as Setsubun. Setsubun, also referenced as the Bean-Throwing Festival, is celebrated on the day before the beginning of spring in the old calendar in Japan. During the Festival, it is tradition to throw handfuls of dry soybeans to scare away demons, while chanting ?Demons out, good luck in!? This is performed to drive away evil spirits and welcome good fortune.

The Nike Dunk Low Setsubun comes dressed in a Light Brown base paired up with Khaki and Dark Brown overlays. Other details include the Purple contrasting accents on the Swooshes, lining, tongues, and a ?demon? embroidered on the lateral heel. Elsewhere you will find a White midsole atop a semi-translucent outsole with a special artwork from the late Edo period (1840s) by Utagawa Kuniyoshi titled ?????. The artwork displays bean-throwing child hero known as Kintar?, who will grow up to be the mighty warrior Sakata Kintoki, one of the retainers of the famous demon-fighter Minamoto Yorimitsu (Raik?).

The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Aqua comes dressed in a Freshwater-like color scheme said to be a nod to the Seattle Mariners alternate uniform. A voodoo doll serves as the inspiration for this new colorway of the Nike Air Max Pre-Day which is believed to be a Valentine’s Day release. Taking on a patchwork-like upper similar to a voodoo doll, this Nike Air Max Pre-Day is constructed out of a variety of materials on the upper such as different denims in various shades of blue, ripstop, suede twill, leather, and more. In addition to the shades of blue we also see the addition of olive, white, orange, black, and green among others. This Nike SB Dunk High was design in collaboration with Swedish skater Oskar Rozenberg and his OSKi line.
