Nike SB Teams With Artist Geoff McFetridge For Two Janoski Collaborations

Fans of the Nike SB Dunk know all about Geoff McFetridge and the history of his Paper Dunks. Back in 2011, the artist collaborated with Nike SB and the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art to create 24 original Dunk pairs comprised completely of original works by the artist. While you most definitely didn’t get your hands on a pair, Nike Skateboarding has commissioned McFetrdige once again for something a bit more accessible: two new Nike SB Stefan Janoski collaborative colorways. The classic canvas Janoski construction returns while a graphic print of human silhouettes floating throughout in either a White/Black or Royal/White option adds a unique twist. Check out more detailed photos below and know that select international shops like Size? have both pairs available today.

The Nike Air Max 95 Built With Denim, Suede, And Gum

Sergio Lozano’s iconic Nike Air Max 95 celebrated its 20th-anniversary last year with such classic installments as the “Neon” bringing some 90s nostalgia complete with original boxing. 2016 has seen the model take a backseat to other NSW offerings, but that doesn’t mean that the Swoosh isn’t finding new ways to keep Air Max fans interested in Lozano’s head-turning creation over two decades after originally arriving at retailers. The latest pair ditches traditional materials en lieu of a premium denim upper, smooth brown leather accents, and an off-white canvas stripe for an aesthetic more ready to fit into the autumn release slate than the current season. The only thing keeping traditions intact are the hidden reflective 3M accents on the tongue and heel. Stay tuned for a release date on this lifestyle-centric Air Max 95 and let us know if you’re a fan of the look by taking your thoughts to the comments section.

Nike LeBron 13 Command Force

We’re sensing a trend here. It appears that Nike is dressing up its contemporary signature models after classic Nike Basketball models from over two decades ago as we get a first look at a Nike LeBron 13 inspired by the legendary Air Command Force. This LeBron 13 features the same color pairings of white, light blue, and that speckled neon green, but the most nostalgic detail is undoubtedly the Nike Air logo placed on the heel. Now that we’re aware of the LeBron 13 “Command Force” as well as the Kyrie 2 “Huarache”, what can we expect from the Kobe 11 and KD 8? Expect these in stores this June 11th.

Nike Continues The Multicolor Streak With The Air Force 1 Flyknit

It’s getting really hard to keep track of all the “Multicolor” versions of the Nike Air Force 1 Flyknit, with yet another iteration now hitting the market. It’s another low-top this time, featuring a black-based Flyknit construction with vibrant hues of Blue Lagoon, Voltage Green, and Pink Blast intertwined throughout. As with all other Flyknit Air Force 1’s so far, they’re detailed with black leather for the Swooshes and tongues, while the lighter ‘Ultra’ outsole sits below. A New Colorway Of The Nike Kyrie 2 Inspired By The Nike Air Huarache

Nike Kyrie 2 1 Nike Kyrie 2 2 Nike Kyrie 2 3 Nike Kyrie 2 4 Nike Kyrie 2 5 Nike Kyrie 2 6 Nike Kyrie 2 7 Nike Kyrie 2 8

The NBA regular season is winding down and it’s looking like we we’ll go another year without seeing an “elite” version of Kyrie Irving’s signature sneaker.

What we will be seeing however is this new colorway of the Nike Kyrie 2 that takes some OG inspiration from a retro Nike runner that was designed by Tinker Hatfield. Dubbed the Nike Kyrie 2 Kyrache, this colorway of the Kyrie 2 draws inspiration from the OG Bold Berry colorway of the Nike Air Huarache. The shoe features a classic combination of White, Black, Bold Berry and blue for a clean and classic look. Kyrie Irving has actually already worn them on the court this season as you can see in the picture above.

At the moment there is no exact release date for the Nike Kyrie 2 Kyrache 2 but we’ll be sure to keep you updated here at Kicks On Fire. In the meantime check out the official images above.

Author’s Take

Who would have thought that the Bold Berry colorway would look just as good on a basketball shoe like it does on the Air Huarache? Pretty cool idea and nice execution by Nike.

After seeing the return of the Miami Heat colorway of the Nike Air Penny 2 last month, we’ll now be seeing the return of another OG colorway of Penny Hardaway’s 2nd signature sneaker with Nike.

Scheduled to release this Friday, April 8th is the Varsity Royal colorway of the Nike Air Penny 2. This Penny 2 features Black nubuck on the majority of the upper with Varisty Blue and Metallic Silver detailing throughout. The signature One Cent logo has been placed on the tongue, ankle and heel for that unique touch.

Set to retail for $160, will you be picking up a pair come Friday?

Author’s Take

The more I look at the Nike Air Penny 2 the more I like it. However if I were ever to pick up a pair it wouldn’t be this one. Not really feeling the shade of blue used on this colorway.

Author’s Take

I?ve always wanted a pair of Black/Metallic 5s, but if it means having to spend $220 plus tax I may just have to pass. *Sigh*

A Gradient Upper Lands On The Nike LeBron 13

Nike LeBron 13 1 Nike LeBron 13 2 Nike LeBron 13 3 Nike LeBron 13 4 Nike LeBron 13 5 Nike LeBron 13 6 Nike LeBron 13 7

With the NBA Playoffs less than two weeks away, the Nike LeBron 13 Elite will begin releasing next week so fans of The King can wear the same sneakers that LeBron will also be wearing during the chase for his 3rd NBA Championship.

But before the LeBron 13 goes Elite on us we’ll be seeing at least one more colorway of the original LeBron 13 arrive at retailers. Looking at this new colorway of the LeBron 13 above we can see that it features a gradient effect on the upper that starts off with Wolf Grey at the toe and then shifts to Black on the back half of the sneaker. Bright Crimson then lands on the eyelets and outsole while a graphic Volt and Crimson Swoosh appears by the toe for a bold finishing touch.

It is being reported that this will be a kids exclusive colorway of the LeBron 13 and should be hitting Nike retailers in the near future. Do you wish this colorway would have released in men’s sizes?

via: Nike

Author’s Take

If the Swoosh on the toe would have been solid red this colorway would have looked better. Regardless, this is still a colorway I’m sure many men will be left wanting.

Our First Look At The Nike Kobe 11 Draft Day

Kobe Bryant will be playing in his final NBA game ever on April 13th when the Lakers host the Utah Jazz at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Everyone will be trying to find a way to get a ticket to that game before now and then.

Continuing with the special colorways of the Nike Kobe 11 that have been celebrating Kobe’s career is this upcoming Draft Day colorway. This Kobe 11 is dressed up in a combination of White, Blue Lagoon and Court Purple, which happen to be the team colors of the Charlotte Hornets, the team that originally drafted Kobe back in 1996. Kobe was taken as the 13th pick in the 1996 NBA Draft and was traded on Draft Day to the Lakers. As you can see in the images above, this colorway of the Kobe 11 is not made up of Flyknit but instead features an engineered mesh upper and has been hit with “6.26.96” on the heel, the day that Kobe was drafted.

The Nike Kobe 11 Draft Day is expected to hit retailers on April 28th for a retail price of $160. Will this be a cop or a drop for you?

via: Sneaker Files

Author’s Take

Definitely a colorway that you would want to add to the collection if you’re a Kobe Bryant fan. This shoe signifies the beginning of Kobe’s career and what could have been if he were never traded.

More Military Colors Paired With The Nike LeBron Soldier 9

Nike is taking the LeBron Soldier 9 name quite literally lately with another military-themed colorway. First it was Desert Storm version draped in a tonal khaki brown, but a new colorway pays tribute to the fighters on the sea with an aquatic color scheme. An all-over matte blue color dominates the sneaker, while like the previous release, a military code is labeled on the ankle strap to re-affirm the solider motif. Is this one of the best colorways yet for LeBron’s latest team sneaker? Expect this version to hit Nike retailers in the coming weeks.
