As you may already know, the Nike KD 8 Aunt Pearl is inspired by Kevin Durant’s aunt Pearl who passed away in 2000 due to lung cancer. This year’s version of the annual Aunt Pearl colorway comes dressed in a pink and purple floral upper along with a Black Swoosh for contrast. More pink detailing has been added on the outsole, inner liner, laces and on the Kay Yow Cancer Fund ribbon on the heel. Finishing things off is a white midsole.

The Nike KD 8 Pearl will be releasing on February 22nd for a retail price of $200.

Set to release on February 22, the Nike KD 8 Aunt Pearl is a reminder of the importance that Kevin Durant places on family. Going several years strong, the KD Aunt Pearl series pays homage to Durant’s late aunt who lost a battle to cancer years ago. Her memory has far from faded as Durant and Nike want the world to know her story and just how much he meant to the NBA superstar with these yearly floral kicks. And with a portion of the sales of the shoes going to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, it’s also for a good cause.

Over the years, all footwear brands have made it common to give some of their retro model a revamped look and feel. Whether it’s using new technology or an upgrade of materials, odds are that one of your favorite classic models have been revamped in one way or another. The latest example of this is the Nike Internationalist KJCRD. Let’s take a closer look.

The Internationalist will feature a textile upper paired up with Hyperfuse overlays and Nike branding on the tongue and leather heel tab. Below you will find a Phylon-injected midsole connected to the black waffle out sole. The new look of the shoe gives it a lighter and more modern feel, right? This brand new version of the Internationalist will debut in two different colorways, black/white and black/bright crimson. Priced at $185, what do you think of the Internationalist KJCRD?
