adidas Goes Back In Time With The Flashback

No, we’re not talking about any Back to the Future reference here, but adidas Originals does indeed go back in time, so to speak, with this new retro-inspired silhouette for women dubbed the Flashback. It’s apparent that they’re flashing back to vintage models like the Samoa and Gazelle for the shoe, featuring a familiar old-school look but built in modern mesh and foam for a comfortable ride. Check out two debut colorways of black and pink here, and find them arriving at select adidas Originals retailers and adidas.com soon.

Both Of These Colorways Of The adidas EQT ADV 91-16 Dropped This Morning

adidas had two new colorways of the adidas EQT ADV 91-16 drop this morning. One came in White, while the other came in Black. Both offerings rock tonal(ish) look with the exception of the hits of Grey found throughout. Notable features that make this model a special one are the taped mesh and neoprene combination. The ribbon Three Stripes branding on the paneling to help give it that classic EQT motif, and the polymer eyelet & heel clip helps gives the shoe its unique look. My favorite feature on this model is without a doubt the overall shape of the shoe. It looks great on and off-feet. Get a good look at both pairs and good look getting a pair (here’s hoping for a restock).

Author’s Take

I really love this model. I have to quit stalling and pick up a pair before the year ends.

The adidas Tubular Shadow Knit Is Now In Stores

The adidas Tubular family gains another new member this holiday season with the debut of the Tubular Shadow Knit. With some obvious YEEZY Boost 350 influence, the latest Tubular model goes sleek and low with a knit textile upper in a unique lateral/medial mismatch with heathered black and white on one side and solid black on the other, all with a white foam sole below. Much easier and cheaper to acquire than a pair of Yeezys, the Tubular Shadow Knit is arriving now at adidas Originals retailers like BAIT for $100.

Based off of the Original EQT Support 93 model, the adidas Originals EQT Support 93/17 is constructed out of a woven knit upper done in a pixelated noise pattern. Author’s Take

I love the design of the shoe. Very minimal and simple but still very noteworthy. I’m not crazy about this colorway but I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting a new colorway somewhere down the line.

adidas Partnership With Pusha T Continues To Pay Off

Today, Pusha T’s third chapter of adidas EQT released in stores today – a grey-scaled hybrid of primeknit, python skin, and Ultra Boost. For the third straight installment, the shoes were an instant sell-out (as anticipated), marking yet another successful drop for the German sportswear label and the G.O.O.D. Music president. Beyond the shoes, Pusha owns a unique vantage point as his affiliation with the brand, in terms of shoe releases, has come before, during, and after the eighteen-month uprising, so his firsthand experience in working with a company that has seen it all in such a short period of time offers us unprecedented insight into a logo that everyone is dying to rock.

A whole bunch of NMDs released today, unfortunately, the ones you see above were not on the list. Known as the adidas NMD R1 Primeknit Tri-Color Pack, and still without a release date, today we get a closer look at the pack via the shoe’s official images.

The adidas NMD R1 Primeknit Tri-Color Pack comes in your choice of a Dark Grey or Light Grey Primeknit upper. Although the colors of the base is noteworthy, what really helps these stand out from the pack is the fact that the Three Stripes branding comes in a new color blocking motif. Three stripes, three different colors. The Dark Grey comes with Red, White and Blue stripes, while the Light Grey pair comes with Red, Black and Royal stripes. It also comes with international ?The Brand With The Three Stripes? wordmark on the heel tab, Black plastic heel tabs, Black or Wite pods and White Boost midsoles. No word yet on when these will drop but we’re pretty sure they will do so sooner rather than later.

Author’s Take

I’m not too fond of the tri-colored stripes, the rest of the shoe on both colorways are on point!

Sprint CEO Is Once Again Giving Away Free adidas Yeezys To His Top Performing Employees

sprint-ceo-gives-away-yeezys-1

Earlier this year, Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure hooked up his top salespeople with pairs free of Yeezys as a way to show his appreciation and gratitude for all the hard work his employees were producing. It looks like it worked! Productivity appeared to go up when Yeezys were on the line, which is why he’s giving away free Yeezys again!

He recently took to his Twitter to let the world know he would be bringing the the reward incentive just in time for the holidays. He sent a company-wide email to inform all of his employees about the reward: ?We will identify an elite group of top-performing sales reps during the month of December. The ones who deliver the greatest number of gross activations will win a pair of Yeezys.?

Check out the tweet above where he announces the contest and his love for the sneaker people go crazy over. If you’re reading this and also a salesperson for Spring, now’s the time to get to work!

Clear Grey Covers The Latest adidas Climacool 1

adidas Climacool 1 adidas Climacool 1 2 adidas Climacool 1 1

Originally seen during the early 2000s, the adidas Climacool 1 has been revived this year in a variety of new and OG colorways.

Highlighted in another classic iteration, this time flaunting a mixture of clear grey/silver metallic — the running shoe is defined by its breathable upper comprised of mesh, which provides the wearer with a temperate feeling during warm, humid days.

Tonal synthetics on the side panels via its three stripe motif and forefoot provide additional reinforcement, as it?s all supplemented atop a crisp white midsole unit and black rubber outsole.

You can purchase this pair at select adidas retailers overseas first, while a stateside release is imminent.

Author’s Take

I barely remembered this silhouette. Most likely because I was a Nikehead. (Still am but now that I?m older, I?m more open to other brands). Anyway, I?m a fan of runners in general and it?s nice to see this model revived once again.

Joining its olive-based counterpart is this women’s edition of the newly-introduced adidas NMD R2.

Dipped in classic black, the silhouette is essentially an upgraded version of its predecessor, which features a revamped primeknit upper that incorporates a new striped patterned overlay that envelops its entirety. Additionally, the distinctive boost midsole unit is slightly thicker for additional comfort, which now includes one large EVA insert in contrasting pink on the inner lateral section instead.

Retailing for $160, you can purchase this new style at select adidas retailers worldwide starting today, December 3rd.

This adidas Ultra Boost Is Exclusive To NYC

adidas Ultra Boost adidas Ultra Boost 1

adidas just opened its New York City Flagship store on Thursday and to celebrate the occasion, the popular adidas Ultra Boost has received an NYC-exclusive colorway that is also applicable via the miadidas station in the retail shop only.

The vibrant mint green/grey colorway is essentially inspired by the Statue of Liberty and expect to see more exclusive one-of-a-kind designs to be produced soon.

If you’re near the area, stop by the new flagship location at 565 Fifth Ave. and create your own pair.

Author’s Take

The silhouette is appealing overall and this colorway is pretty sweet. I like the exclusiveness to NYC.

adidas NMD R2 Debuts Tomorrow

The adidas NMD R1 has no doubt been the hottest sneaker of 2016, but it’s apparent that adidas Originals aren’t resting on their laurels for even a minute, as the shoe’s sequel is already about to launch. The NMD R2 debuts tomorrow at retail, arriving first in two Primeknit constructions covered in a bold striped motif. You’ll also notice one major design change in the R2: no “bumper” inserts on the Boost midsole on the lateral side, with only a rear bumper on the medial side. But don’t worry if you’re a fan of the first NMD, because they don’t appear to be leaving production any time soon.

Take your pick, the NMD R2 is featured in the olive/black colorway you see here, as well as a black and charcoal edition, both hitting select adidas Originals retailers tomorrow, December 3rd.

Is Pusha Ts adidas Ultra Boost EQT Being Pushed Back Until January

This weekend was supposed to bring another installment from Pusha T and adidas Originals, but that might not be the case for Europe anymore due to some reported problems with the delivery of the coveted collaboration to a number of stores. According to Instagrammer Hichem.OG, the Pusha T adidas Ultra Boost EQT release has been canceled and will now be available sometime come January 2017.

The Pusha T adidas Ultra Boost EQT will be the first Primeknit collaboration between King Push and adidas Originals, with the greyscale aesthetic utilizing contrasting fish scale panels on the forefoot and a full-length Boost midsole to add an ultra comfortable ride. That doesn’t mean that the adidas Equipment references are going away anytime soon though, as the ribbon three stripe branding returns as well as the unique lace dubraes featuring ‘King Push’ so there’s no doubt that the G.O.O.D. Music President had his hand in creating this luxurious offering.

Check out more detailed shots of the coming Pusha T adidas Ultra Boost EQT below and we’ll keep you updated on a new release date right here on Sneaker News.

This weekend is full of highly anticipated and exciting releases with one of those being the next collaboration between Pusha T and adidas Originals.

Dubbed the adidas EQT Boost King Push, this new project between the musician and the three stripes takes two of adidas’ most popular innovations, Primeknit and Boost, and places them together on the same shoe. The sneaker comes with a full Primeknit upper in gray, carpe overlays across the heel tab and toe, reflective three stripes branding and a white BOOST midsole.

You can grab you pair beginning tomorrow, December 3rd at select adidas retailers for $200.

This Black Pair Of The adidas EQT ADV 91-16 Will Begin Releasing Tomorrow

adidas EQT ADV 91-16 Black 2 adidas EQT ADV 91-16 Black v 1

As most of you know, the adidas EQT ADV 91-16 Art Basel is not available for purchase, you can only “win” the limited and exclusive sneaker. In other words, the general public will have a hard time picking up a pair. As a consolation prize, I suggest you take a look at this new upcoming colorway dropping this weekend, the adidas EQT ADV 91-16 Black.

Just like the Art Basel version, this one also opts for a tonal aesthetic as a Black hue takes care of 98% of the shoe from head to toe. It appears to be made out of a taped mesh and neoprene combination. The ribbon Three Stripes branding appears on the paneling, while the transparent polymer eyelet & heel clip helps gives the shoe its unique look. Minimal hits of White appear on the Black adidas Torsion bar midsole by way of the Three Stripes branding. The shoe will begin releasing on December 3rd at select retailers worldwide.

The model is a classic one, but I can’t get down with the Lime Green hits, especially during this time of year.
