Nike will be releasing a handful of special colorways of the Nike Terminator High to honor HBCUs (historically Black college or university) with one of the pairs being this offering made for Spelman College, the oldest Black women’s institution in the U.S. This Nike Terminator High gets covered in a light shade of grey all over the upper with a smooth leather placed on the base of the upper and hairy suede noted on the overlays. For contrast we have University Blue detailing on the Swooshes, “1881” text on the lateral, Spelman Hymn excerpt, “Thy Name We Praise” on the heels, laces, and the tongue trim. Additional standout details include Royal Blue pawprints on the insoles and icy translucent outsoles, “Undaunted By The Fight” written on the laces, the school’s emblem placed on the tongue tabs, and “A Choice to Change the World” written on the insides of the tongues. To cap off the design a white rubber midsole provides some much needed balance.
