The Under Armour Basketball roster just got a little bit more bigger and talented. UA Basketball is excited to introduce the newest addition to their rosters, Mo Bamba and Hamidou Diallo.
Mo Bamba is definitely one of the most promising and exciting prospects from this year’s NBA draft class.
Hailing from Harlem, NY, Mo is a five-star prospect out of high school who dominated the vaunted Big 12 in his one year at Texas, Mo comes to the NBA with a frame and skill set unlike anyone before him. In today?s NBA, spacing is key; on the offensive end it creates driving lanes and opens up shooters, while the defensive end requires the ability to make switches and defend in space, and for big men to play the perimeter when needed. Despite Mo?s towering size, he doesn?t lumber ? his feet are astoundingly quick and he fits the prototypical needs of a modern NBA 5 in the body of a throwback center who can anchor an elite defense for a decade plus. And with Under Armour, he?s found a partner willing to help him get better every day in order to fulfill his sky-high potential.
?Under Armour appreciates how culturally important basketball is in Harlem. They feel that Harlem pride and responsibility that I carry, and are ready to support my long-term vision of giving back to the community that raised me.?
– Mo Bamba, Center, Orlando Magic
Mo will be starting the season in the HOVR Havoc Low ? providing explosive energy return in every step, an almost unfair advantage for someone with his physical gifts ? Mo will look to get his career off on the right foot, unleashing chaos on both ends of the floor and terrorizing the League for years to come.
Hamidou Diallo was not a lottery pick, he was actually a second-round pick. That being said, don’t be surprised once he takes the league by storm. Hami is joining the Under Armour basketball family with the physical tools to match any wing in the League. His time on the Under Armour Association (UAA) circuit in 2015 saw him average 22.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. He participated in Under Armour’s 2015 SC30 Select Camp with Stephen Curry as his mentor, as well as the 2015 NBPA Top 100 Camp and the 2016 Elite 24 showcase, in which he was one of three MVPs. Each time, Hami put in work and proved he can excel against the best. He’ll now have the opportunity to show the world what he’s made of as a key player of the Oklahoma City Thunder, alongside teammate and fellow Under Armour athlete Terrance Ferguson.
Hamidou will also be starting the season in the HOVR Havoc Low, which uses HOVR cushioning to harness and return energy in every explosive leap.
