You didn’t think that was it though, right? Nope. Jordan Brand has much more planned for the low-top version of the Air Jordan 5 in 2016 with one of the next colorways to release being this White and Wolf Grey pair that will also be exclusive to the smaller-footed crowd. This pair resembles the White/Metallic Silver pair that released last year with only a few minor differences.
Scheduled to release on March 26th, how many ladies plan on scooping up a pair?
So the ladies are pretty much getting the same release as last year but just making it a low-top instead of a mid? Not sure how they feel about it but I feel that these will sit on shelves for a long time.
Pure Platinum Yeezy and Wu-Tang Clan Foamposites Are On The Way
Nike originally created the Nike Air Moc as an ACG silhouette but has now brought the silhouette back as a lifestyle sneaker.
The shoe made its return recently with the purple pair that featured a fleece upper that has also landed on other Nike Sportswear silhouettes such as the Nike Roshe Run, Air Huarache and Presto. Nike has decided to give the Air Moc a lifestyle appeal by dressing it up with a fleece upper in this new heather grey colorway. Hits of contrast land on the white sole unit, black branding and tongue tab and the red on the toggle on the heel.
It’s Friday, and that means it’s time once again to review the hottest stories in the last week of sneaker news. All is quiet on the Yeezy front this week, which means Kanye and adidas left room for other headlines to dominate over the last few days, with everything from “Damn, Daniel” to exploded Nikes grabbing attention. Just in case you missed anything, peep the ten biggest headlines from this week below.
It seems like Nike plans on taking the Nike Air Presto to new horizons in 2016 as they’ll be decorating the sock-like silhouette in different print and graphics.
We’ve already seen a purple tropical pair as well as a desert digi-camo colorway, and now we can add yet another graphic pair with this new pixelated option. The majority of the sock upper of this Air Presto is done in white with black pixelated squares serving as the graphic of choice on this pair. Additional black detailing has been added on the outsole, laces, and Nike branding. Finishing things off are Green Glow accents on the side panels and toe and a speckled midsole.
We’re still awaiting a US release date for this pair of Prestos so keep it locked to Kicks On Fire for updates.
Beauty & Youth x Converse Chuck Taylor Hi In Suede
Tokyo’s own Beauty & Youth has been known for their premium handcrafted quality and bespoke tendencies. When paired with the Converse Chuck Taylor Hi, classic aesthetics are an expected result and the two lifestyle brands didn’t disappoint with the latest collaborative effort. Two upcoming Beauty & Youth x Converse Chuck Taylor Hi pairs are slated to release at retailers early this March with a beautiful suede upper in Olive and Beige options. Flat-string laces are a new albeit subtle edition to the model while the only mark of Beauty & Youth’s involvement can be found on the insole. It’s a collab that doesn’t call too much attention to itself, but rather settles for simplistic quality for a timeless effect. Continue onward for a better view of this upcoming collaboration and stay tuned for more release updates right here on Sneaker News.

Adidas and NFL Running Back Chris Johnson Agree To Multiyear Partnership
Adding to adidas Football?s growing roster that already includes Super Bowl 50 MVP, Von Miller of the Denver Broncos, 2015 Rookie of the Year, Marcus Peters of the Kansas City Chiefs, 2015 Comeback Player of the Year, Eric Berry of the Kansas City Chiefs, 2014 League MVP Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers and nine 2015 NFL Pro Bowlers, adidas has just added another explosive playmaker to the squad.
Running back Chris Johnson of the Arizona Cardinals announced today at the 2016 NFL Combine that he has signed a a multiyear partnership with adidas. Johnson is the reigning record holder of the NFL?s 40-yard dash with a time of 4.24. He also won the rushing title in his 2nd year as a pro racking up 2,006 yards back in 2009.
What are your thoughts on adidas coming to terms with Chris Johnson at such a late point in his career?
Sneakers In 4K: adidas Yeezy Boost 350 Pirate Black
Today we get first look at an all-new colorway that sports a White upper with Metallic Silver detailing on the inner liner, heel and tongue tab, as well as the Nike and LeBron branding throughout the shoe. Finishing things off is an icy blue translucent outsole that complements the clean look of the upper.
There is no confirmed release date just yet but rumors indicate that we can expect a late March/early April release with a retail price of $175.
So far I like what I’ve seen from the LeBron 13 Low. This white/metallic silver colorway and the previous red/black pair are both clean and have a lifestyle look that would make them much easier to wear than the mid LeBron 13.

The Air Jordan 12 French Blue may not be an OG colorway, but many adore it more than classic iterations of the silhouette. Last seen in 2004, the popular finish is finally scheduled to receive its first retro treatment after twelve years, as the model celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2016.
Maintaining its distinctive palette overall, the silhouette is comprised of White tumbled leather, while French Blue overlays are prominent on its forefoot, outsole unit and rear portion. Metallic Silver accents provided by the top eyelets, Black Jumpman branding on the tongue and subtle Grey panels on the sides consist as notable contrasting elements.
Renz Ofiaza, News: One of my favorite colorways on the silhouette, aside from the Red/White iteration. There?s no doubt that these will be sought after heavily. It?s going to be a pair that I’ll consider purchasing for 2016.
Juan Carrillo, News: I?m not a huge fan of the 12s, but I?m real happy to see this colorway making a comeback after all these years. The white and blue work great on this shoe, which is what this may have to be my first 12 purchase, ever.
Under Armour To Launch A New Basketball Silhouette Next Week
Under Armour will be launching a new silhouette on March 1st known as the Under Armour Fire Shot. The new basketball sneaker was worn by Denver Nuggets Rookie point guard and Under Armour athlete Emmanuel Mudiay during All Star Weekend in Toronto.
The UA Fire Shot features dynamic court feel and control and features a high-traction outsole is fused with a responsive Micro Gmidsole, cutting away extra weight and bringing you closer to the court. We also see Under Armour?s signature CompFitcollar on the ankle, and a molded, sculpted, EVA rubber midsole that delivers unmatched lightweight responsiveness that turns cushioned landings into explosive takeoffs.
You can look for the Under Armour Fire Shot to launch on underarmour.com on March 1st in four different colorways for $120.
I think the only reason that people buy Under Armour basketball sneakers (Curry One and Two) is because Stephen Curry is attached to them. The design on this new Fire Shot isn’t too bad but I think the $120 is higher than most people are willing to pay.
Nike Completes The Yeezy Trio With The Foamposite Pro
We knew Nike was going to milk as much as they could out of those groundbreaking Yeezy 2 colorways from 2012 and 2014. Nike first released the “Solar Red” version of the Foamposites a couple of years ago and the shoes quickly became one of the top Retro releases of the year. The all-red pair met equal fanfare, so the accepted trend is that the upcoming “Pure Platinum” version will be sought after as well once the shoes officially hit stores on 3/12/16. We know you can’t help but complete the set, right? Get all three Yeezy Foamposite colorways including the upcoming “Pure Platinum” pair right now directly from Stadium Goods.
Snoop Dogg Gives Rich Eisen 2016 adizero 5-Star 40 Cleats For The 40-Yard Dash (Video)
The annual NFL Scouting Combine is taking place this week where hopeful NFL draft picks are showing potential coaches, general managers and owners what they’re made out of. Perhaps the most exciting competition of all is the 40-yard dash. This year adidas is offering $1,000,000 to anyone that can break the record which was set 8 years ago by Chris Johnson with a time of 4.24 seconds.
Sports television analyst Rich Eisen has made it a tradition for 11 years now, going on 12, to close out the NFL Scouting Combine by running the 40-yard dash in a full business suit. This year he’ll be running in some special adidas cleats that were given to him by Snoop Dogg earlier this week. In the video above you can see Snoop gift Eisen with the 2016 adizero 5-Star 40 cleats that is lightweight and aerodynamic while also coming with photo-realistic, high-definition, 3-D fire graphics. The cleat was created specifically for the 40-yard dash and weighs only 4.9 ounces, making it the lightest cleat in the game.
Last year Heisen ran a 6.10. Do you think the 2016 adizero 5-Star 40 cleats will help him improve his time this year?
Sneakers In 4K: adidas Yeezy Boost 350 Pirate Black
LeBron James debuted the LeBron 13 Low on-feet during the All-Star Weekend in a black/red colorway – a traditional color-combo that has been a staple of LeBrons for years. Today, we get a look at a white/silver version, and it is here that we get to examine the shoe a bit closer. Based on these newly surfaced photos, Max Air is back on the heel, while a boot-like structure provides a snug fit – although those who find the LeBron 12 and the current 13 model to be a bit too roomy might not enjoy the fit on the LeBron 13 Low. The silhouette itself is likely to debut later this month and could be part of the Easter Pack, but you’ll find this white/silver pair in April. Check out a closer shot below.
