New adidas Athlete Carlos Correa Wears Custom adidas Cleats for Opening Day

Just yesterday we found out that reigning MLB American League Rookie Of The Year Carlos Correa joined the adidas family. Today was officially Opening Day for Carlos and the Astros as they faced off against the New York Yankees.

Correa wasted no time showing off his adidas pride as he wore a custom 1-of-1 adidas Boost Icon 1 cleat created by adidas Baseball. The cleats (pictured above) represent the fusion of Carlos’ family, his Astros family and joining the adidas family.

Correa?s family artwork includes influences from Correa?s family, heritage, his background, etc. ? including: Ponce, Puerto Rico; living by the water, fishing as a family, swimming with dolphins, Carlos Sr.?s work ethic, etc.

The Astros family artwork includes Texas, the Houston Astros, the Houston Astrodome, baseball design cues and living baseball 24/7. Lastly, the adidas family artwork includes the adidas Superstar and adidas NMD shoes, the hashtag #cleathead ? which is bringing the sneakerhead mentality to baseball cleats, and three fingers up to represent living the adidas ?three stripe life.”

Take a look at the custom cleat above and let us know what you think. For anyone interested, Correa helped the Astros open the season with a 5-3 victory and also hit a home run in the sixth inning.

With the Spring/Summer seasons here it should be no surprise to see that lots of brands will be releasing low-top renditions of some of their most classic sneakers.

Dressed in Navy Blue upper on the ballistic mesh upper and the patent leather mudguard, this new colorway of the Air Jordan 11 also features a white midsole for contrast and a gum outsole. The gum outsole is a welcomed sight since we’ve never seen an Air Jordan 11 with a gum outsole.

Author’s Takes

Andres Carrillo, News: A navy blue Air Jordan 11? I like how Jordan Brand is thinking outside the box a bit and giving us a completely new colorway. The gum outsole is also a really nice look. The only thing I?m not too happy about is that it?s a low-top. Maybe once I see better images it?ll grow on me..

Michelle Obama Is Given A Custom Pair Of Shoes From Nike

Michelle Obama 1 Michelle Obama 2

The First Lady of the United States of America Michelle Obama was recently given a custom pair of Nikes directly from the Swoosh.

The sneaker, which you can see above, is the all-new Nike Free RN Flyknit and comes in a purple Flyknit upper with black and white accents. Due to the bunny on the tongue and the special box that the shoes come in you can make the connection that this is a special Easter colorway. The box that the shoes came in is just as cool as the shoes as it resembles a chocolate egg and when you open it the shoes are placed in the shape of a bunny’s head.

We’re sure that the First Lady will put these kicks to good use as she’a a big advocate of living a healthy and active lifestyle.

Nike Air Force 1 Mid 1 Nike Air Force 1 Mid 2 Nike Air Force 1 Mid 3

There’s a new colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 Mid releasing and it’s one that you definitely don’t wanna sleep on.

The Air Force 1 Mid many times gets lost in the shuffle since people usually prefer either the Lows or the Highs. But when a colorway like this comes around it’s hard to ignore. This Air Force 1 Mid features a Sail leather upper with Obsidian denim overlays that land on the Swoosh, heel, ankle, eyestay, toecap and ankle strap. Making things even better is a classic gum outsole.

What are your thoughts on the denim Air Force 1? Are you feeling the gum bottom? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments and look for them to arrive at retailers this Spring.

via: Titolo

Author’s Take

Very clean colorway of the Air Force 1. The denim details are a good look and make this an ideal colorway of the Spring/Summer.

An Official Look At The Nike LeBron 13 Low Metallic Silver

Nike LeBron 13 Low 1 Nike LeBron 13 Low 2 Nike LeBron 13 Low 3 Nike LeBron 13 Low 4 Nike LeBron 13 Low 5 Nike LeBron 13 Low 6

Last week we gave you an official look at the new Cool Grey colorway of the Nike LeBron 13 Low that features subtle black and gold detailing. However one of the first colorways that surfaced was this Metallic Silver option.

The Metallic Silver LeBron 13 was available at a select number of retailers already but it has now made its was to nike.com which means it’s that much easier to grab a pair. This colorway of the low-top version of LeBron James’ 13th signature sneaker comes with a White upper and Light Iron Ore and Metallic Silver accents throughout. If you’re interested in a pair the LeBron 13 Low Metallic Silver can be yours for a retail price of $150.

via: Nike

Author’s Take

Out of all the colorways we’ve seen I like this one the least. This colorway needs some more pop to it. It just looks too plain in my opinion.

Nike Air Force 1 High Oil Slick Pack

Nike Air Force 1 High 1 Nike Air Force 1 High 2 Nike Air Force 1 High 3 Nike Air Force 1 High 4 Nike Air Force 1 High 5 Nike Air Force 1 High 6 Nike Air Force 1 High 7

Nike has just released a new pack of Air Force 1s that consists of two different but similar colorways known as the Nike Air Force 1 High Oil Slick Pack.

Featuring two pairs of the iconic Air Force 1 High, one pair comes in a full black leather upper and the other comes in an all-white leather upper. The similarities come on the Swoosh, tongue tab, lace dubraes and heel tab where both pairs feature an oil slick/iridescent effect. Each pair is also finished off with tonal rubber midsoles and outsoles.

You can pick up both colorways from the Nike Air Force 1 High Oil Slick Pack at select Nike retailers now for $110 each.

via: Sneaker Politics

Author’s Take

I used to like the iridescent print on some shoes before but as I get older I’m not really a fan anymore. It’s just a little too flashy for my liking.

Out of all four sneakers in this collection the only one I would actually wear would be the Free Mercurial Superfly. I like the Flyknit upper and speckled midsole detailing.

A Popular Pink-Box Nike SB Dunk Almost Makes A Return

While Nike SB Dunks during its peak of 2003-2006 is remembered for the bright colors and unprecedented details, the muted colorways often stood aside, gaining quite notoriety for simply having color-combos that were more palatable to the general public. Such is the case for 2005’s “Fog” releases – a high-top that featured a solid black suede upper and fog-grey midsoles, Swooshes, laces, and inner lining. This new 2016 release is by no means a retro of any kind, but the all-black colorway is a great reminder of some of the low-key hits from a decade ago. These will hit stores in the U.S. soon and are currently available overseas.
