adidas Originals Introduces NMD_R1 Exclusively For Women

S75231_PRFTWSTBTY_FI S75231_PRFTWLATER_FI S75230_PRFTWSTBTY_FI S75230_PRFTWLATER_FI

The adidas NMD runner just released a few months ago and adidas is already creating different versions of the silhouette. Fresh off the introduction of the adidas NMD City Sock, the Three Stripes now unveils a new women’s silhouette.

Known as the adidas NMD_R1, this version of the NMD is constructed of a mixture of premium suede and peached jersey textile. A vegetable-tanned leather heel patch and copper midsole plug add some contrast to the otherwise tonal sneaker while the entire shoe sits atop a full-length BOOST midsole. The first two colorways that will release include tonal black and burgundy options. The release date is set for March 17th. What are your thoughts on this new women’s exclusive NMD?

Author’s Take

Kudos to adidas for keeping their foot on the gas pedal and continuously giving us new versions and colorways of the adidas NMD. This new NMD-R1 is pretty nice and should have been released for men as well. Oh well, I guess we can let the women have this one. Haha.

Long-time partners Missoni and Converse have gotten together once again to release the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Missoni collection for Spring 2016. This new collection from the two powerhouses uses two ionic elements in fashion, Missoni’s renowned zigzags and Converse’s classic Chuck Taylor All Star silhouette.

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Missoni collection consists of high-top and low-top versions of the Chuck Taylor All Star. This time around the collection introduces a printed canvas silhouette with woven metallic threading and boasts angular lines, amply named ?The Flame.? Two high-top and two-low top oxford styles will be available as a part of this collaboration all being dressed in spring-ready colors including Blue, Egret, Auburn and an all-season Black.

The new Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Missoni collection is now available starting at Converse retail stores and online at Converse.com for a suggested retail price of $95-100.

Author’s Take

The leather tongues and new zigzag designs on the upper are a nice look on the Chuck Taylor All Star. If I had to pick a pair I’d side with the either of the two high-tops.

Ewing Athletics Releases For The Month Of March

Ewing Athletics 1 Ewing Athletics 2 Ewing Athletics 3 Ewing Athletics 4

Ewing Athletics have revealed their retro releases for the month of March and these are two colorways that should appeal to fans of the retro silhouettes.

First we have the Ewing Focus which has been dressed up in a St. Patrick’s Day theme. This limited edition colorway features a green suede upper with orange and white accents and shamrock detailing on the tongue and ankle for that St. Patty’s Day connection. Next we have the Ewing Image which will be making its return for the first time since 1994. The Image will come dressed in a New York Knicks colorway of black, blue and orange. Patrick Ewing actually wore the Image during the Knicks’ historic Finals run in 1994 and through out the 1995 season as well. Here are some images of him in action wearing the shoes.

Both pairs will retail for $120 and will release on March 16th on Ewingathletics.com as well as select Ewing Athletics retailers. Each shoe will be available in sizes 5-14.

Author’s Take

No matter how many different silhouettes Ewing Athletics has I just can’t see myself ever wearing or buying pair. I feel like all of their shoes are just too bulky. I’m sure that there’s lots of people who will be stoked about these releases though.

Travis Scott Gets Hooked Up With The Air Jordan Kobe Pack

The latest celebrity/athlete/musician to receive the Air Jordan Kobe Pack is rapper Travis Scott.

Earlier in the week Shinedown guitarist Zach Myers also posted the pairs he received from Jordan Brand along with both colorways of the Macklemore x Air Jordan 6. However unlike Myers, Travis Scott received the home white colorways of the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 8 instead of the black pairs that Myers received.

Are you a bigger fan of the black pairs or the white pairs? Let us know down below and keep it locked to Kicks On Fire to find out if this Air Jordan Kobe Pack will ever be getting a retail release.

This White And Multicolor Nike Kobe 11 Releases Real Soon

Nike Kobe 11 1 Nike Kobe 11 2 Nike Kobe 11 3 Nike Kobe 11 4 Nike Kobe 11 5 Nike Kobe 11 6

The white and multicolor version of the Nike Kobe 11 that we showed you earlier this week has gotten a release date and it’s coming quick.

Believed to possibly the Easter colorway of the Kobe 11, it turns out that Nike is calling this the Nike Kobe 11 Elite 4KB. What does that 4KB stand for? Well at this point we don’t really know but we’re sure that the backstory/theme behind the name will be unveiled by Nike very soon. Looking at the shoe we can see that the upper is dominated by a White Flyknit with multicolor detailing appearing on the side panels. Almost everything else on the shoe has been left white including the outsole, tongue, and inner liner with the exception of some color being added on the heel tabs.

Look for the Nike Kobe 11 Elite 4KB at Nike retailers on March 14th for a retail price of $220.

via: Nike

Author?s Take

Kind of looks like the Kobe 9 ?What The? but in low-top form. I have a feeling not many people will like this colorway because of how plain it is. I know I don?t, especially not for $220.

Is This The Nike Kobe 11 Easter

Nike Kobe 11 1 Nike Kobe 11 2 Nike Kobe 11 3

Yet another new colorway of the Nike Kobe 11 has surfaced today and this just might be the Easter colorway for 2016.

Dressed in a grey and orange Flyknit upper, the only thing that kind of throws you off from this being an Easter release is the skeleton skull that appears on the heel. The white and multicolor pair that we showed you earlier this week would serve as a much better Easter release due to the colors that it uses, but we won’t really know until we hear something official from Nike.

By the way this grey and orange colorway is scheduled to release on March 25th which is two days before Easter so we’ll have to wait and see. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for more updates on this and all Kobe 11s.

via: kb824

Author’s Take

That skull on the heel makes this colorway seem like an unlikely candidate for an Easter colorway of the Kobe 11. We’ll have to wait an see I guess. As far as the colorway I think it’s decent but I’m not a huge fan of orange.

An Official Look At The Next Nike Air Force 1 High OG

Air Force 1 High 2 Air Force 1 High 1 Air Force 1 High 3 Air Force 1 High 4 Air Force 1 High 5 Air Force 1 High 6 Air Force 1 High 7

After giving you an initial look yesterday, today we present to you official images of the next colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 High OG.

Dressed in premium Summit White leather all throughout the upper, Black accents appear on the suede Swoosh, outsole, ankle strap, and Nike Air branding on the heel tab and tongue. Just like every other remastered OG colorway that has released this pair will come with an extra ankle strap for an alternative look.

Overseas retailers have these releasing on March 5th which means that the stateside release can’t be too far off. What are your thoughts on this Nike Air Force 1 High OG? Is the colorway too plain or is it cool and classic?

via: Nike

Author’s Take

I still can’t understand why people continue to sleep on all of these remastered Air Force 1s to the point where you can get them for almost 50% off. This is a clean and simple colorway but I’m waiting on the burgundy colorway to go on sale.

The Nike LunarEpic Flyknit Already Has a Collaboration On The Way

Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 1 Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 2 Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 3 Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 4 Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 5 Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 6 Gyakusou Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 7 Gyakusou Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 8 Gyakusou Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 9 Gyakusou Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 10 Gyakusou Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 11 Gyakusou Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 12

Nike took the time to officially unveil the Nike LunarEpic Flyknit yesterday and released it in more colorways that we can handle.

The Nike LunarEpic Flyknit comes equipped with a ?revolutionary? mid-height collar design and a brand new tooling system. Flyknit takes care of the upper and Lunarlon technology is found on the sole of the shoe. The shoe is said to offer a ?virtually vanishing fit, fluid feel and superior softness?. Now the silhouette is wasting no time and will already be collaborating with Japanese designer Jun Takahashi to release the Gyakusou x Nike LunarEpic Flyknit.

There will be two colorways as a part of the collaboration that feature Gyakusou branding on the heel strips as well as special branded insoles. Look for both colorways of the Gyakusou x Nike LunarEpic Flyknit along with accompanying apparel on March 10th at NikeLab locations.

via: Nike

Author’s Take

These two colorways don’t really stand out as a “collaboration” in comparison to the other GR pairs that already released. Might as well just pick up a GR colorway for a lower price.

Roger Federer Gets His Own Nike Air Max 1

Air Max 1 1 Air Max 1 2

Nike has just taken the liberty to create special iD pairs of a few Air Max silhouettes for some of the biggest Nike athletes around.

Gearing up for Air Max Day which falls on March 26th, Nike has created NIKEiD pairs of various silhouettes for athletes that include Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Skylar Diggins, Victor Cruz, Giovani dos Santos, Rafal Nadal and this pair that you see pictured above that was designed for Roger Federer. Nike dressed up Federer’s Air Max 1 in a Black leather upper with a University Red mudguard that has also been done in leather. A Metallic Gold leather Swoosh, White midsole and clear translucent outsole wrap things up on the pair created for the tennis legend along with “GOAT” written on the heels in gold.

Check out all the pairs that Nike created for their athletes here and purchase which ever one you’d like or create your own in preparation of Air Max Day.

Author’s Take

It’s hard not to like a black and red Air Max 1 and those gold hits just make it even nicer. The only thing I would have changed is the leather upper and made it mesh.

Snakeskin Makes An Appearance On The Nike Air Max Classic BW Persian Violet

Nike Air Max Classic BW 1 Nike Air Max Classic BW 2 Nike Air Max Classic BW 3 Nike Air Max Classic BW 4 Nike Air Max Classic BW 5 Nike Air Max Classic BW 6

Nike will be bringing back the OG Persian Violet colorway of the Nike Air Max Classic BW (Big Window) next week to the delight of many OG sneakerheads that have been waiting a long time to get their hands on them again.

Now we’ll be seeing the retro runner from Nike outfitted in the same exact colorway but with a modern look thanks to a full snakeskin upper. Instead of utilizing the classic mesh and neoprene upper this Air Max Classic BW uses a premium snakeskin upper in black along with Persian Violet and White accents.

No release date has been announced yet but you can expect these to hopefully arrive in the states in the near future.

via: Nike

Author’s Take

Wasn’t a fan of the shoe with the original materials and the new snakeskin upper doesn’t really do anything for me. I’ll pass on these.

Wolf Grey And Metallic Silver Combine On This New Colorway Of The Nike KD 8

Nike KD 8 1 Nike KD 8 2 Nike KD 8 3 Nike KD 8 4

After unveiling the Nike KD 8 Elite earlier this week, today we take a look at a brand new colorway of the original KD 8.

This time around Kevin Durant’s 8th signature shoe with the Swoosh takes on a Wolf Grey Flyweave upper with Metallic Silver detailing on the midsole, Swoosh and KD logos. Wrapping things up is a gum outsole. There is a close resemblance between this pair and a GS release that drops at the end of the month, but thankfully for the guys this pair will release in men’s sizes.

There is no exact release date yet but this silver colorway of the KD 8 could be releasing later this month. Stay tuned for updates.

via: K101Store

Author’s Take

The good thing about this colorway of the KD 8 is that it can be worn with pretty much anything. The bad thing? It’s just too plain.

Oklahoma Has Some Nike PEs For March Madness

The Sooners have some high hopes heading into NCAA basketball madness this month, and it looks like they’ll have at least two Nike signature shoes made just for them to carry their squad throughout the heightened competition. Both the Kyrie 2 and the Kobe 11 Elite have been issued to Oklahoma in clean team-based colorways, but the Kobe 11 deserves some extra shine for the contrasting grey Flyknit that sits atop the white soles. Don’t expect these to hit retailers, but you might be able to get something similar through NIKEiD.

The Air Jordan 10 Los Angeles Will Be Inspired By The Dodgers

We already know that and Air Jordan 10 City Pack will be releasing that will highlight four cities around the country. We have the Air Jordan 10 Chicago Flag that draws inspiration from the city’s flag, the Air Jordan 10 NYC inspired by the Statue of Liberty, a Charlotte colorway, and now we have the Air Jordan 10 Los Angeles.

This Air Jordan 10 isn’t inspired by the Lakers though, instead Jordan Brand pays homage to the Boys In Blue and models the colorway after the LA Dodgers. The colors used on this Air Jordan 10 will be Ocean Fog, Blue Lagoon and Midnight Navy. The collar will also come with the “LA” embroidered logo instead of the 23 or 45 that we’re used to seeing.

The release date for the Air Jordan 10 Los Angeles is scheduled for May 14, 2016 for a retail price of $190. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for further updates and images once they release.

Note: There is no images of the sneaker yet.

Author’s Take

The Dodgers are my favorite baseball team but I already own the Royal 10s. So unless this pair is completely different then I intend on passing on them.
